Not your normal "What oil should I use?" thread. I don't have a Titan XD, instead I have a F-350 Powerstroke, along with my '07 Titan.
Has Nissan come out with anything about the new CK-4 formulation of oil for diesel engines? Ford has come out with a short list of oils that are "approved". There are quite a few that are not on the list. For example, Shell Rotella T6 is a very popular oil on the Ford truck forums but that oil is not on the approved list. There is some concern that use of CK-4 is bad for the Powerstroke engine.
To make matters worse, there are allegations that Shell has been putting CK-4 oil into bottles labeled as CJ-4 (the approved formulation).
