Hi, this is my first post. I have a 2009 titan crew cab in 2WD. It is bone stock. I want to give it a more aggressive look, and was wondering your recommendations for wheel and tire size? I spoke to one shop by phone who told me to go no larger than 17", but my stock wheels are already 18" so I was a bit confused. Also, I see I can use a spacer pretty cheap to lift it 2-3 inches, or go with a 6" lift kit for around $1500. What would you guys recommend? Any other options? It would be great if you could also link me to some photos so I can get an idea. Unfortunately, there are not alot of places who do this here, so I will probably order everything online and drive about an hour to have a shop install it all. Thanks in advance.

All depends on what your wanting to do man. You need to ask yourself what are you using the truck for? Mudding, street driving, do you want big tires with normal rims or big rims with smaller sidewall tires?

My Titan is an everyday city street driven Titan. Suspension is bone stock and sitting on 22's. No clearance issues. My plans, Front leveling kit and some more aggressive looking All Terrain Tires. Why because I need new tires and few times a year we visit my in-laws on the farm and sometimes we play in the mud there. :teethmast

Welcome to TT!

Well first thing I can tell you is that the shop you visited doesn't know much about Titans. The smallest size of rim you can use on a 2008+ Titan is 18", due to the size of the brake calipers. So a 17" rim won't fit on your truck at all. I personally like the look of big rubber, so if I were planning on getting a more agressive look on a 2wd Titan, I would get the CST 4" spindle lift, a 2" spacer, some rear 4" blocks and then go for some 35" x 12.50" tires on 18" rims. That would give you about 6" of lift and a nice agressive stance with lots of rubber. I find 20" or bigger rims don't look right on a truck. Anyway, lots of members have the CST spindle lift setup, so search the forums and I'm sure you will see some pics and be able to tell if this is the look you are after.

I just put on some Toyo Open Country 33's on my 2007 Titan. I also had some leveling struts put on to bring the front end up two inches. Of course had to go ahead and get some wheels too even though I did like the look of the stock alloys. Love these tires they grip like crazy it changes the feel and ride way more than I would have thought though. Slower to accelerate, slower to brake, feels heaver, etc. I guess all that is to be expected though.
