What tires will Fit?????

There are a ton of sizes to choose from.. it seems the 295/70/17 has been the popular size recently.. in a nitto tire.

Thanks. Yeah I am looking for an aggressive type look, something that may stick out slightly past the fenders. I wasent sure if a standard 285/70/17 would fit ok on the 17x9?

Your good.. I am running 295/70/18 on stock wheels.

Will the 295/70/17 fir without any rubbing?

You might need the Pinch Weld Mod (PWM) depending on which Tire you go with . If you go with a more aggressive tire in that size that has larger lugs it could rub with out the PWM.

I am getting ready to have the 1.5 inch leveling kit put on my truck and plan on going with the same tires you have the 295/70/18 Nitto All-Terrains. So you are saying you don't need the PWM? If no then that will save me a little money. Please let me know.

It all depends on the offset of your wheels. You can fit up to 33"x12.5" r17 on stock 17" wheels with zero rubbing and no modification required, so 295/70/17 should be no problem. But if your rims have a negative offset, that's when you will get rubbing and need the PW mod. If your wheels have a more positive offset similar to stock, you won't need a leveling kit or pw mod for anything up to 33" x 12.50" tires. Mine never rub even when I bottom out the shocks with the wheels at full cut. 33x12.50r17 fits like they were meant for the truck on the stock offroad wheels.

So if I'm reading your post right I should be able to fit 295/70/17 Nitro on
17x9 wheels without out out PWM? I have a 2" leveling kit on the front.

Like I said, it all depends on the offset of your wheels. If they have a negative offset then you might have to do the pwm. If the offset of the wheels is close to that of the stock wheels, then you will be good. So find out what the offset is on the wheels and then you can have a better idea if the pwm will be required.

Question for anyone that has a Leveling Kit.....Did any of you get an alignment after you put the Leveling kit on? Do you recommend an alignment after the leveling kit? Also going with a larger tire did you get the speedometer changed to reflect the difference? If you go to the link I posted above earlier to compare tires sizes it shows that going from the stock 265 tire to a 295 will change your readout by about 3-4 MPH. Just curious.

What is the offset of the stock wheels?

I am looking at a 17x9 wheel with a 0 mm offset, and looking at 295/70/17 tires. See any issues with this setup?

i have 33x12.50 on 18x9 with 0 offset and have no rubbing. just had to take off the mud flaps.
