Hello,
Newer member here.
I have a 08.5 se crew cab, I am the original owner on it. I have kept up on its regular maintenance. I'm approching 60k miles (low miles I know). What are some of the things that I should be looking for, in regards to maintenance or mechanical failures.

I have already had the rear axles swapped out 3 times under the warranty, and the brakes were swapped out 2 or 3 times as well also covered under warranty.

It was involved in a rear end wreck in 2010, where nissan repaired everything from the drive shaft back under the frame, replaced the frame with a new one (the force of impact cracked one of my alloy rims and the jagged edge put a whole into the origional frames crumple zone).

And we just changed the rear diff fluid, and new bearings in the back both sides.

It's been a great truck, and love it. It saved my life in the colision ( I was struck by a car going 75mph in the passenger rear side of the truck while I was at 0mph). And it drives right even after the frame swap.

It's no blinker under warranty and trying to figure out my options.

Thanks in advance.

I'd consider the axel vent mod seeing as you've had problems in the past. Keep the fluids changed and enjoy the truck. You'll eventually probably need to do some minor upgrades to suspension, your stock struts and shocks are probably near the end of their life if not shot already. Front Wheel bearings will probably go and the dreaded cracked manifolds, but other than that if you treat it good it will last.

Thank you.
I'm not mechanically inclined so forgive me. Shock and struts I understand I need to look at. How do I know of I already have the vented diff? It may have been installed by nissan after the repair.

Thanks.

The dealer would not have done the axel vent mod. I'm not going to get into the process there is plenty of how to's on here. The valve is on the passenger side rear, little silver nipped on top of the axel. I'm pretty sure cajun b-pipes (site sponser) has the setup for reasonable price. PRG has them too, but after using them once for my RC traction bars, I was not impressed.
