Does anyone know if the cracking exhaust manifold issue was fixed by the 2011 Model year? I have been thinking about selling my 2004 Titan & getting a 2011 that I found for sale.
Manifolds were never fixed from what I understand. Time will tell in the newer trucks. You are talking about manifold cracks right?Does anyone know if the cracking exhaust manifold issue was fixed by the 2011 Model year? What? No, it's from metal stress and piss poor design. Hot cold hot cold does a number. If you get the truck and end up doing long tubes, make sure you get uprev. That should fix your o2 /cel issueI thought the reason the manifolds were cracking was because the motor had so much torque when the engine would rock back and forth on high revs it would crash the manifolds into the frame?
Its a design issue more than anything. The aftermarket manifolds dont crack the cats just fail. That simulator does nothing but prevent a light. You need Uprev on that 2004 non flex, its lean. Im getting calls everyday from 2014-15 owners now with cracked manifolds. Most are at 120-140k mile range.Yes I was referring to the manifolds cracking. I have an 04 that I replaced manifolds on and they cracked within 6 months. So I went to the stillen long tube headers only issue is the O2 simulator never worked on mine so I get the codes for secondary O2 sensors all the time. Anyway I have been looking at a new to me Titan 2011 model and was wondering if I would have to deal with the same issue. All the exhaust other than the manifolds have been upgraded.

Nissan added the extra bracing in 2007If memory serves, I thought they added the "reinforcement" to the manifold design for the 2012 model year...
It was nothing more than a bandaid on an artery hemorrhage... they still crack.
You can see the little plate they added on this manifold... in the "wye" where they collect and head to the cat...

Just to let you know ... They are cracked, trust me :wink:I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. 200k miles on original manifolds in my 2010 titan.

They're really not. I just did an exhaust leak check about a month or so ago.Just to let you know ... They are cracked, trust me
