Who wants to talk A/C ha...

My A/C doesn't blow cold and I'm hearing a hissing sound from the passenger side under the dash. I recharged the A/C thinking that was the problem but no dice. Weird thing to is this started not long after I did the blend door fix but I wouldn't think these would go hand in hand.

Anyone have the same issue or know what I need to replace? I appreciate any help! Wife and baby won't ride in the T until its fixed haha.

Take it to a shop that specializes in A/C work. If you used one of those recharge bottles they are inaccurate & won't fix the actual problem.

Good thing you are located in the NW and it's not too hot this year, but I echo AZPRO4X's recommendation to find someone or someplace that know's A/Cs.

This is my recent story with my A/C. I found it to be less then cool after I bought it last year, but really didn't start to care much until I was planning a road trip to TX last month. Not having A/C in TX or the neighboring state of New Mexico is crazy, I took it to the dealer that I bought the truck from, the week of my trip. They claimed to have fixed a leak and recharged the freon, but it wasn't much cooler. The coolness lasted about half-way to Idaho. While in Idaho, it was a planned stop, I had a local mechanic look at it. Two days later, $1200 dollars poorer and a replaced condenser and compressor my AC is now ICE cold. The family even complained it was TOO cold and I would have to turn it down during our trip.

I am thankful I found a local mechanic who knew A/Cs and could fix the problem quickly. Best of luck.
