Need a little help diagnosing my problem...I have an 06 4X4 with 50K miles. Whenever I hit a bump the ride is rough and the wheel will jerk a little in a direction. The problem is worse when hitting a bump while rounding a corner or turning in some way. Also, when I hit a dip in the road at a higher speed it feels like the body is just bouncing up and down and seems to take forever to sit back down.

The front end seems to be sitting lower than a few years ago but might just be in my head.

Seems like a strut/shock issue...

If it is a strut issue what would be the recommended strut? I had the PRG on my 04 but this is as stock as can be. I tow a trailer some but other than that I dont do any thing special.

Any help?

Do you have the OR Pkg w/Rancho shocks & struts? If so, I am willing to bet one strut is leaking. Mine were toasted at 22k miles.

I'd look for any hydraulic fluid leaking down the strut. Might need to replace those shocks.

Based on your observations and descriptions I personally would start looking for a bad strut.
