The same designs are available for XD and Non-XD. but to answer you're question, lets look at sizing.
Both wheels use a 77.77mm centerbore and 6x5.5(6x139.7mm) lug pattern.

Non-XD comes with 8" wide wheels with ~23mm offset (this comes out to ~5.5" of backspacing) and uses 12mmx1.25 studs
XD comes with 7.5" wide wheels with ~44mm offset (this comes out to ~6" backspacing) and uses 14mmx1.5 studs
Using XD wheels on a Non-XD would mean the wheels will sit about .5" closer to the suspension components and frame and the lug nuts will not be as tight of a fit in the openings on the wheels
If you wan to do it, you can buy adapters for 12mmx1.25 to 14mmx1.5. Get hub-centric ones (with a 77.77 or 77.8 centerbore) and you'll need the lug nuts from the XD. the adapters will also need to be about 1.25" (to clear the studs) so this will push the wheels further out away for the truck (OK because the XD wheels are tucked in about .5" anyway)

Hey "timthescarred"...you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about wheels/tire sizes and offsets on these trucks, I wonder if you can tell me something?
Maybe you can help with my question I'm having some trouble answering - also on tires/wheels. I have a 2017 Titan XD 4x4 stock at this point. I would like to get some different tires, currently have 20" stock Nissan wheels. I'm wondering what is the largest tires I can fit on the truck as it and/or if I do a 2" lift?
I'm looking for an AT tire but I also tow a 10,000 lbs boat...any suggestions?
Side note: In researching AT tires it would seem that not many folks make these in all sizes for 20" wheels or they seem much more expensive than say 17 or 18" wheel sizes...is that true or am I just not seeing all options/prices???
