Right into the cab of my truck!!!!!!!!!!! I am so pissed right now. Last night and most of today it rained pretty good here. At lunch I got into my truck and started it, stereo turns on and all I hear is this distorted bass sound, I am like WTF! turned the truck off to look at my amp and sub box. My amp is located behind Passenger rear seat where the vent is located. I pull the seat down and am looking at water sitting on top of my amp, all the vents and where the fans are located on top and water has leaked right into that, I call dealership and tell them my problem, they tell me my warranty is up, there is no TSB for a window leak and were more than happy for me to bring it in so they could look at it. I was like livid as my truck is only 3yrs old and should not leak PERIOD! My amp hopefully isn't fried but I am betting it is...................After talking with the service manager and getting nowhere I want to drive my truck right through their glass doors!!! I searched for some info but couldn't find anything useful to get Nissan to cover this. I am at 39,000mi. and 3yr ended in december. A vehicle should not leak after only 3yrs of service. MFckers!!!!! ok i am done ranting. Any idea's or info for fix would be greatly appreciated. All the auto glass places I called couldn't gaurentee a fix. Not one could guarentee removing the rear window without breaking it to reseal the whole whole thing. WTF?????!!!!!!!!

The window were all closed and sun roof too. It might be the third brake light i put in last year I bought from ******* Industry's, I don't know, I guess I need to break out the garden hose and chase it down.... I'll find out for sure where its leaking at, the only thing I could tell right away was the bottom corner on passengers side rear there was a dribble of water and nowhere else along the bottom of the whole window. It could be from the third brake light but I will test it out tomorrow and find out for sure, taking the amp out tonight and blowing it out with air and hopefully it still works after it drys out over night.

Just found out that water has leaked into cab from the LED third brake light I installed last year. I attached some double sided 3m tape and just a dap of silicone around the hole and gonna test it out tomorrow for leaks. What a PITA! No verdict on the amp yet, gonna hook it back up tomorrow also and see if it works.

Old post here but i have a leak now. It looks just like the pics in the post but I have never touched the 3rd eye brake light. It looks like to me there is a small piece at the back of the rain gutter on the passenger side that is loose. I think that may be where mine is leaking at. Time to get the house out.

I found the plastic piece in the back of the rain gutter to be the problem. When you lift it up there are 2 rivets that have a plastic button around them. This is what the plastic piece attaches to. I just siliconed around them and on top of the rivet. I hope this fixes the problem and I will keep you posted.

hey fellas, i know this thread is almost a year old, but i recently started to have some water leaks too, for instance my right rear passenger seat-belt gets drenched when it rains. i have patched up some holes in the back window where i saw water come through, but this is still an on going problem, the seat belt smells so ridiculously bad i tell people not to sit in that seat. Only thing i haven't done is the brake light and the rivets. any ideas?

Mine was from the inside of the back glass. I pulled down the head liner as much as I could and looked around where the pins from the back window come into the cab. I siliconed around them as much as I could form the inside and that seemed to stop the leak.

Good luck

I have the exact same water leak as titaninak, water dripping from the same spot mostly on the passenger rear side, and I also get it on the driver side occasionally. I replaced the 3rd brake light assembly with a brand new one. Still leaks.

I ran a hose all the way around the window and no leaks.

ANyone solve this?

DOes anyone have pictures of the plastic trim on the roof that have rivets under them? Do you just rip them off, get new ones and seal under them good? How are they attached? How do you remove and install new ones?

Thanks!

an easy way to locate leaks:

fill up a spray bottle with a few drops of dish washing detergent, add water.

start up the truck, close all windows, run the heater blower fan on high, spray suspect area down with soapy water and look for the bubbles...
