I pulled my raft a couple hours up the road this weekend for a river trip. I didn't use tow mode and everything seemed to be fine. At the time I didn't figure the trailer was heavy enough to warrant the use of the tow mode, but thought I'd ask just to make sure.

I'm figuring that the weight of the trailer and raft is somewhere between 800 and 1000 pounds (with 1000 being the absolute max... most likely less than that). It's just a little flatbed trailer but I've never weighed it. Can't be much... 500, 600lbs maybe. The raft itself is 150lbs, another 50lbs for the frame and figure another 50 or so for the oars and such. These are conservative numbers too... I'm highballing the weights.

Should I still use tow mode with this light of a setup behind me?

Im going to be towing a 6x12 enclosed trailer in the morning, says max weight is 4400lbs including trailer. I have the big tow package and just curious if I should use the tow mode, I will be in the interstate 99% of the trip (300 miles)

I read on the forum somewhere about a guy shaving some time off the quarter by using it. Anyway I have pulled a boat right at our limits and never used it, course I was never revving it high enough for it to work anyway I don't believe.

The T/M is kind of weak in the Titans, all it does is hold the 1,2, and 3 upshifts a little longer. Once up to speed it does nothing...
It is nice for around town, but on the freeway don't worry if it's on or off.
And yes I do a lot on manual shifting when towing, Love my gated shifter!
