Where do you store tie downs and other stuff in your Titan?

Since I am planning on getting subs placed under the backseat of the Titan, I cannot buy or make use of any underseat storage. I have the side bed compartment but it doesn’t have enough space. Things I typically keep in my truck are:

Several mid size tie downs to hold down whatever I am carrying in the bed
Large tarp to cover whatever is in the truck bed
Truck bed bungie cords to hold down the tarp

Where do you guys store your tie downs and stuff in your Crew Cab Titan?

i installed a under the rail diamond plate toolbox...i had to trim the lip off the top of the utilitac bracket though...them you can use the cargo seperator to hold the box in...instead of bolting it to the floor
Under the passengers front seat is a big area for all sorts of junk !!!!
Good luck ....
Duh...In the side storage box of course!

What? You didn't get one?....What a shame...:bangit:

DUH..read the post again, he said he has one, but all his stuff won't fit...that is the whole basis of the post....:domohit:
I went to Walmart and bought a black plastic milk crate looking box. I use a bungie hook to secure it to my tie down loop on the right rear side of my bed. I keep towels, hand cleaning wipes, UT cleats, socket set, tie downs, and a wheel chock in there. Works perfect. In my side storage compartment behind drivers side rear wheel I have a 30 foot recovery strap and a set of jumper cables. Under the drivers front seat I have my tire patch kit, air compressor and fire extinguisher.

I have something very similar to this.
In the center compartment of the factory under-seat storage bin, they all fit perfectly.

I guess people don't have sticky fingers in Georgia (Lucky) :teethmast ... I wouldn't want to have to buy another set of cleats, tie-downs... after someone walks (or runs) away with them. I use the under the seat method like some of the other guys... Good luck
i have a tool box under the 40% side for now with all my tie downs and stops in it. my cleats are in the side box. my new sub & box from www.tech12volts.com will be under the 60% side and should give me enough bass with the RF that came in the truck...

not sure if i'm keeping the RF sub or not and where to mount the amp but that's how i plan to keep all my gear in the truck. i also have a tarp, a sheet, and a few mexican blankets behind the seats.

delta makes a small box for ford rangers i had thought about buying and mounting in the floor tracks of the bed but don't have the cash for it and don't want to give up that much bed space..

good luck!

I was thinking the same thing. Just use the 60% side of the rear underseat for the subs but I love my bass and really do want to do the whole underseat with 2 10" subs. :D

This is going to be a little tough. I don't want to cram the side storage box too much and the front underseat idea sounds good for the tie downs and cables if I place the cleets in the side storage. Are there any custom understorage boxes for the front seat?

I wonder if we can get Tech12 to design and sell us front underseat storage bins that match the interior carpet...
I still have a few things behind my rear seat. The bungies and tiedowns go in ziplock bags in the rear-fender storage, but I carry a raincoat (folded up and flattened) along with a ziplock containing the Utili-Trac tools and my wheel lock. It is just sandwiched between the seat and the inside of the rear bulkhead. Nothing moves. I thought about one of those flat truck "behind the seat" toolboxes, as I have 2 in my garage that lived in my F-150, but I hated the rattling of all the crap in the cab. Plus, for the few things I need to carry along, the way I'm doing it works out just fine. You could probably do the same with the tarp. Just fold it up and trap it between the seat tand bulkhead.

Tech built one for a member on here, who was from Allentown, and it had a storage bin in one part of it with the two subs mounted on the outsides. He posted a pic, I believe. I'll look for it...
Littlemike,
I have a bed cover that locks from the inside. You can't see whats in my bed, but it could be cut open with a knife I guess.
I find there's PLENTY of space BEHIND the rear passenger seats.... although I don't keep mine there. That's where I keep my tarp, seat cover for puppies, racquets, towel, first aid kit, etc. Maybe you should relocate some of your stuff?

Under the passenger side rear seats I store two coleman popup chairs, with bungee lopping around the outside chair, holding them in place with a hook on the jack stand...

PS: don't forget the door pockets.

I didn't see that you had a cover...That makes sense...hahaha!
You can maybe try to get a narrow box, similar to a stowaway tackle box, and put your tie downs in there and place it behind the rear seats. The folded tarp will fit behind them, I have one there along with some rain gear etc.
I see that there is a little room behind the rear seats but I don't see a way of holding the stuff in there without just smashing the rear seat up against the object and the rear wall.

If there is some kind of small narrow box you guys have used and recommend, that would be awesome.
