I'm not joking, either I am blind or my truck doesn't have one. Since the latter would make it the only Titan without an oil filter, I am left to believe that I am blind.

I took of the skid plate, drained the oil, and can't seem to see the filter anywhere? Now my truck is sitting in the garage with no oil in it?

Any tips on its location so I can finish the first change on my Titan (2008 SE)? Thanks.

There is a small trough that the oil pours down when you take the filter off. Look just above it.

Dead center of the truck on the front of the engine, right above the sway bar. It should be a white filter if it is the nissan filter.

Don't know about the 2008, but on the 2005''s, Nissan borrowed gorillas from the zoo to tighten them on making removal damn near impossible. I tried and then took mine to the dealer and let them change the oil the first time.

It's the same on the 08's. I got it off, but crushed it in the process.

Ok, Found it. I had to remove a 2nd skid plate. Felt kinda dumb for asking, but now I know. Thanks for the help.

BTW- 1st oil change 3,000 miles with mobil1 synth 5-30, took 7 quarts also for all the 08 owners out there.

On my 04, I do not have to drop the second skid plate to get to the drain plug. It pokes out of the corner. I too went nuts looking for the filter prior to my first oil change. Really thought there wasn't one, being my first foreign vehicle. How bad was it getting the filter off?
