Which headlights are your running???

Looking for aftermarket black housing headlights to blend in with the murdered out theme of my truck now.

I've had severe condensation issues with the Spyder headlights off of Amazon in the past, so I'm looking for good quality after market lights.

I would prefer not to have to silicone bead around the housing seal like I've done in the past.

I want something that at least will function properly, Non-ricer, Allow HID's or High powered LED bulbs, and bolt in.

Let me know what your running and potential costs.

PS: retro-fitting is not an option ( my cap is less than $ 500) I would rather buy more lift components than break the bank on headlights)

If you don't need projectors then Depo OEM replacement lights are good if you're going to run LED's. I have Depo's that I took apart and played with, but I'm running retro solutions LED bulbs high and low in them. Plenty of light, just not the nice cutoff that projectors give.
Are these the lights?

Any issues with condensation?

If you still have your OEMs you can pull them apart and spray the chrome shroud with black spray paint. That's what I did.

I would but my OEM's are gone , -_-.. So I'm rocking the Spyder lights until I find the right pair. I'm not against projectors but I think the ones on ebay don't quite look right.
Those are the lights and I bought them from the same seller. They're really good about issues and replacing with no questions asked. I had one lens get spiderweb cracks in it and they sent me a new light within a week and just told me to send the old one back on their dime.

I had an issue with one headlight fogging, but that's more me not sealing it correctly than any manufacturing defect.
Here's an output shot with retro solution's gen 1 LED headlights. The new ones are apparently brighter by 1000 lumens per light. That truck in front of me is at least 150 feet away.

That's the issue I'm having too smh. I'm wondering should I just try and reseal the Passenger light?

The condensation clears up if I leave my lights on though

That's a lot of water. I'd take out the headlight, pull the bulbs, run a hair dryer in one of the holes for an hour or two. Get some black gasket maker (any auto parts store for like $8) and put a good layer all the way around the seal as much as you can. It won't look beautiful, but it might solve your issue. It's also completely hidden when the light is installed and the hood is shut.

It's also a lot cheaper than $130 for new lights.

Do you run your wheel well liners? I had the most issues when I didn't have mine in while I was working on headers/suspension. It's possible your bulbs aren't fitting tight in the headlight and your tire is throwing water onto the back of the housing.

I'm going to check the passenger light again, but I did a thick bead of clear silicone.. The driver side has no issues after a hard rain.. But, I'm glad you mentioned the splash guards. Because that's the side where the guard comes loose.

So back to taking apart the front end, but I'm guessing it has to be coming from the bulbs because I literally took 2 days to bead both headlights and cure the silicone after the second set failed.
I ran the Depo's for a year, never had an issue with them. From 40 below to 100 degrees. Just sold them and running Retro fitted OEM's now.
I just read this statement from Spyder, but I'm wondering am I making a big deal of this ? Or does your headlights do the same thing from heavy rainstorms in the cold or humidity??

never had that issue with my Depos

Headlights are not supposed to have ANY water/condensation in them. They are supposed to be a sealed environment. If there is no water present and it's sealed there will never be any condensation present.

Condensation WILL affect headlight visibility and driving conditions. It scatters the light drastically.

That whole thing is complete BS.

I've been looking for a new headlight solution daily ever since I got my truck... Was going to pull the trigger and chance it on the spyders but read too many horror stories that have kept me from doing so..

Figured I would forgo the halo and projectors and just get the smoked ones as they look sweet.. They I read those flake / chip off.. So frustrating.. No way am I spending more then $250 either..

I was also looking at getting these depos and was very close to pulling the trigger but just haven't yet..

Those depos actually look exactly like aplyler820's paint job.. So now I'm debating trying that.. But my luck I will eff them all up in the oven and be **** outta luck!! Argh!!

Putting them in the oven worked just fine. I was nervous too but followed the directions on the headlight mod thread and the whole process was smooth. I used krylon dual paint+primer flat black spray and its held up almost two years now. Only inconvenience is finding a window to not drive your truck.

Either get depos or be ready to drop 800$ on retrofitted lights, or 300$ or so in parts and retrofit them yourself. Spyder/eBay/Anzo projectors are really ricey
I have to make these Spyder headlights work.. Because its just one freaking light screwing up...

I really believe the breather whole is causing the issue, because with the amount of clear silicone beaded on these lights there should be no condensation...

But, I'm going to check my bulb connections when I get home and take this light apart if necessary.

In the meantime I may order the Depo brand if the check out with other members.

Would you say yours basically look like these? Depo JDM Style Black Housing Headlights for 2004 07 Nissan Titan 05 07 Armada | eBay

To get those black strips on the side blinker did you just mask it off and paint it?

Pretty close, here are the differences I see:

1 - black paint on the Depos looks glossy, I used flat black
2 - I sprayed the top blinker surrounding black too. The only chrome left in mine are the reflectors for the hi and lo beams

I put tape on the reflectors and cut around them, so yes they're still reflective but the chrome in between was painted black when I was finished.
