Nope, the mirrors are retracted and it's only coming from the left one. I tried what QuadT suggested; pivoting the mirror in slightly, and it worked to eliminate the whistle. By pulling the mirror unit in, as though I was going to fold them, the whistling stopped. It only had to be moved 1/2" and it was gone. The tech heard the noise and concluded it was not a defect, but "just the way the mirror is", and therefore no mirror was ordered.tazstitan said:I have not heard this noise on mine... but are your driving with your mirrors extended?? Both mirrors making noise ??
Maybe Test Drive with Tech ? did they order another mirror ??
I tried it on the way home and it worked. Thanks for the suggestion. I only had to move the unit in approx 1/2", as though I was going to fold them in, and presto, no whistle. The wind noise is still there but can only be heard if you try. The whistling could be heard loud and clear with the window up and no stereo on. Thanks again for the tip.Quad T said:I found if I adjusted the mirrors to point inward just a bit more the whistle went away.
