Just asking about white smoke upone engine start up. It does not blow smoke when driving or accelerating but simply when I start it up. I did notice it once when I started it up cold and drove about 20 miles and it did it again (only at start up). It is cold (30-50 degrees) outside, and dad seems to think everything is ok...just getting another opinion...

White smoke on cold morning can just be from water condensate in the exhaust. White smoke can also indicate burning coolant from, e.g., a leaking head gasket. If that is the case the coolant level may be low, the engine oil may have an unusual appearance and you may smell antifreeze at the tailpipe. A head gasket leak can often be detected by a compression test.

Humidity levels and condensation. I was down in mexico with my truck last summer and my truck was white smoking I was like wtf?? Unless its excessive white smoke, like a diesel truck but white smoke then you should be fine. check the coolant level just to be sure.
