Whole Cruck/Car Cover for the Titan

1369 Views 20 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  rjterpstra
So I have a neighborhood cat that likes to jump on the hoods of my cars/trucks at night to keep itself warm. Without trying to hurt the cat, I figured the best bet for now is to get a car cover to put on the truck at night so that it doesn't scratch up my brand new paint job.

Anyone have any recommendations on a car/truck cover that will fit snugly around the Titan? After I get the car cover, I'm planning on throwing on some of the hallway carpet runners (spikey side up) on the hood of the car above the car cover to teach the cat to stay off my hood. I've used the same method to keep my dogs off my couches so I figured it will do the same for the cat.

And for those interested, yes i have a garage but the door opening is low and will not fit a truck.

I say take care of the cat. Cheaper than a cover.
Because:
A) You will get sick of covering the truck all the time.
B) It's way cheaper than $400 to take care of a cat.
hook a battery cable up to the hood.... the cat will remember next time lol

I like where your head's at :D
^^ unfortunately you'll heat your hood up nicely and not shock it as planned... pellet gun is good unless you miss and hit your truck... have you tried the good old walk up and grab, then boot or toss?
The cat is smart enough to jump off the top of my current truck/car when the garage door opens. It knows its not supposed to be there.

I can't hurt the cat... :(
Get an Airsoft Pellet gun @ Wal Mart. I got one for $90 bucks that shoots @ 350fps and hold 300 rounds...hurts like hell but not lethal

lol i shoot them every day.Not for my truck, its white, and usually covered in mud. But those paws show real good on my dark blue cars. I actually got the cops called on me for "brandishing" a weapon. Since then i painted the gun orange. You should see the cats scatter every time they see a kid with a orange bike/shirt.:flamed: :meow:
^^^ Haha. Awesome...
I have a neighbor that feeds strays so we have litteraly over 20 cats on the street. Those stupid cats scratched my black truck all to hell. My vote is for hotdogs soaked in anti freeze. That'll show those cats!

Of course I have never done this. That is completely illegal.
LOL... This is going nowhere. I might as well rip open the garage door opening a few more inches so I can stick my Titan in the garage. LOL

Here you go. They are expensive though. Just go and google Nissan Titan cover. I am sure you will find what you need.

Thanks for the link. I've searched google but have not found any photos or reviews specifically for a Titan. I take it nobody here on this board uses car covers?
I have a cover for my truck and I bought it from Big Sky Car Covers. I can't remember the exact model I have but I have had for over 2 years and has held up well. Give them a call and describe your situationand they will recommend the best cover for you. Plan on spending about $300 or more but it is fitted to the truck and even takes into consideration which style of mirror you have.

Ryan Hubbard
Pep Boys has a truck cover for Titans. Unfortunately, my local Pep Boys never has it in stock, and they refuse to order one for me...
Thanks for the tips guys. I re-messured my garage door opening last night and according to the spec sheet on the Titan brochure, I should have about a 2" clearance on the garage door to fit the Titan in there. I may look into enlarging the opening in my garage as well if it is not going to cost too much.

I'll definitely still want a truck cover though so I'll go and shop around next week.

You haven't even tried to get it in the garage! LOL

that's a good one... The first day I got mine lifted, I crept it slowly into the garage, stopped and physically looked above my roof to make sure I could pull in quickly, bounce a bit, and still clear... looks are very deceiving...
