Why no airbag an vdc with lift?

I spoke with a guy from 4wheel parts about a lift trying to get more info for my 08 pro4x and he told me that Procomp advises not to have Upper airbag and Vechical Dynamic Control. Why is this? Also they advisenot going any smaller than and 18" wheel what's up with that? I think they just want you to spend more money on tires

Thanks

Well if it's an 08, the size of the front brakes limits you to an 18" or larger wheel.
Yes the truck is an 08. So the brakes being larger makes since. But why do they prefer the truck not to have side curtain airbags and VDC?

Thanks
Frank
i believe someone else posted something similar about lifting 08s with vdc (poster didn't mention side curtain airbags) because it may have a sensor that measures yaw. not sure if any of this is true or the install shop is just covering themselves in case.
Yes, the side curtain airbags have a sensor that decides if the truck tilts further than it can naturally recover and get back on it's wheels. When this sensor activates, the airbags are deployed. It's for rollover protection. The bags are inflated to cushion the occupants BEFORE the side hits the ground.
