We also don't have an oil pressure sensor. We have an oil pressure sender which is only used to turn on an off the oil light if pressure falls below it's preset limits.

My '11 has a gauge. The short answer is that the BD gets the information from the CAN bus and oil pressure isn't one of the items sent along the bus, it's direct from sending unit to gauge.
