Wifey SUV Suggestions

The wife wants an SUV. She wants a volvo or a lincoln, both of which I'm trying to steer her away from. She doesn't want something big - more concerned with mpg's, comfort & a room in the back. Suggestions?

Do you need to be able to tow with it? If yes, how much?

alot of people are saying good things about the nissan rouge , myself im not to crazy about the looks
Mazda CX7 or CX9.
The new Trailblazer SS would look good in your driveway eh? Or perhaps the Grand Cherokee SRT????? On a more timid note the Murano seems nice or a Ford Edge???? Both of those are a car based platform which ride and handle well. I can see the Volvo for safety reasons, but i dont recommend anything Lincoln!!!!!!
2008 pathfinder se v8
I'm liking the pathfinder idea... The Rouge is one ugly a** SUV. I rent a lot of vehicles and the last time I had a new Trailblazer it broke a shock so that rules that vehicle out. Not a huge Jeep fan. May have to drive one of those Mazda's though!
My wifes next vehicle is probably going to be a subaru. Not exactly sure what model, but probably the biggest one they make. Living on this long dirt road, I want something with awd. I am worried she will get stuck in her Quest.
2nd vote for Mazda Cx-7..! 14 second turbo suv's:haveredfl . My sister has one, it is great overall and on gas as well.:boxing:
Third for CX7.
Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series - my wife has absolutely loved driving hers for the last 7 years - it is a 2000 - and has needed nothing except gas, oil changes and tires for 74000 miles of on and off road usage. It is by far the best beach / snow vehicle we have ever owned and is equally at home for trips cross country - or to the local mall.
My wife has an 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. She loves it. Its pretty luxourous and sporty at the same time. Smooth ride w/ lots of power and a surprisingly throaty stock exhaust. She wont let me touch it with any mods though:crying: Women are weird.....

That just means more money for daddys TITAN:cheers:

I would recommend the Jeep. Nice vehicle all around.
have her drive a Murano. they're pretty sweet, especially that CVT and intellikey.

Nissan just sent me the brochure for the 2009 Murano with a double moonroof and it's beautiful.

I also own a 2007 Pathfinder SE and it is one year old this week. It is the most flawless vehicle I've ever bought and I'm on my 28th vehicle at the moment. It has never needed, nor ever seen the dealer since I drove it away.

Range Rovers are nice, great ride and road manners, but can tow and offroad like a champ.
Another vote for the Mazda CX-7 or CX-9. The smaller CX-7 would be perfect if she doesn't need the third row or the ability to tow. My wife has a Mazdaspeed3 with the same 2.3 turbo and so far it's been a reliable drivetrain that makes for a vehicle that is a blast to drive!
I'd put my money down for a murano. My sister has one and it gets around 22 ish mpg and is pretty nimble. kinda mini-vanish but nice

They are also rated as one of the most un-reliable new vehicles out there.
