My driver side window motor went bad replaced it now when I lift the button to automatically roll it up it hits the top and rolls back down about 2"

did you replace just the motor? or the whole regulator assembly? If just the motor (which is a B!TCH) then likely you're a wrap off of calibration on the upstroke.

Sounds like you need to reset the window lift motor limit switch. You can find videos on YouTube.
