There are lots of people on here that have either colormatched it or bedlined it. Not a bad idea at all. It is on my list of things to do. Well maybe not on the list below but it is on the list. I have not tried to take it off yet, but have read that it is quite simple.

There are a few people that have taken theirs off and had them painted to match there truck or paint them black. It is the only way to keep it black

For those with newer T's I've been wiping all black plastics down with 303 protectant that has 100% UV protection once a week in hopes of preventing this issue. I guess this summer will show me if it was worthwhile, but I figured I'd mention it because I think it will definitely prevent this.

It's easy to get off and paint, and doesn't take too long to do either. I think it takes longer for the paint to dry than it does to take it off and put it back on.

Did you do this yourself or have a paint shop do it? I was thinking about doing it myself, with some DupliColor matching color followed by a clear coat.

I had a friend of mine (body shop mgr) did all my parts, cowl, splash guards, running boards (now nerf bars), engine cover, roof rack, etc. only cost me some beers! He told me to do all they did on my truck would've been about $600.

You have to keep applying it. I have to do mine every 2 weeks minimum.
