Hello,

I recently installed a JVC HU that has an external mic. I need to route this mic somewhere where it will be out of the way. Does anyone know of a small sticky or velcro "tape" that can help keep the wire from just dangling? The mic itself has an adhesive but I need a way to keep the wire sticking to the dash.

Thanks,
SP

I mounted the external mic for my aftermarket Hu on the headliner just above the rearview mirror. I had a one inch cube of foam packing and cut a slit about half-way accross. I nestled the mic in that slit and held it together with a piece of double-sided sticky tape. Used the same piece of tape to adhere to the headliner. Routed the cord under the headliner to the drivers side door then beneath the rubber door gasket until I reached the foot well then underneath the dash to the radio.

I mounted the mic in the foam packing to reduce the likely hood of picking up road noise from attaching to a hard surface.
