So I decided on the JBA exhaust for my new Titan and bought one from Socal motorsports on the 19th of last month. I never received any communication for a tracking number or so much as a thanks so I started calling and emailing to try and see when it would get here. I never got calls back on my messages and no emails back. I got through one time so someone named John who sent on email to check on the order and that's it. I am a patient person but this is horrible customer service and I filed a claim with paypal today to try to get my money back cause I'm feeling ripped off. Three weeks and nothing... yeah I'm not to happy about it. So for what it's worth to everyone else out there... be careful buying from these guys!!

The company has been known for customer service issues, and not shipping products. A member here, AgTitan06 is/was a rep for that company.

I feel your pain. I just went through a similar issue with auto anything. People want to sell you stuff they just don't care if and or when they are going to ship it. I got the "we are a very big and busy company and we can't be expected to keep track of all our customers orders" line. Totally unacceptable. It's as improtant to post warnings like yours as it is to post recomendations. Thank you very much for the info.

Since SCMS is on here, why not PM them?

That's what I have done and found John to be quite responsive.

I was just reading through the thread link that blackbeauty posted. There is a similar theme here. It's not just the shipping issue, although that would be enough. You should not have to post a complaint on a public forum just to get a response and ACTION from a vendor. When you are so busy that emails and phone calls from actual customers are not the priority you have some serious issues. I understand "stuff" happens, but the customer should be kept in the loop don't you think?

Sounds like a case of selling stuff you don't have in stock and then scramble to to get it in so they can ship it out or drop ship. Happens all the time with smaller retailers.

I was just wondering if you have heard from them and if a resolution has been achieved. Keep us informed.

All JBA exhausts have shipped. We do not have any open orders for any JBA products. PM me with name on the order and the part(s) you ordered and tracking will be forwarded to you. Include a contact ph. # and I'll give you a call personally.

Any/All confusion will be cleared up tomorrow.

The thread linked to this quoted post was a great example of how we take care of people. The customer ordered the wrong part. In the end we ended up OVERNIGHTING the package at no additional cost to the customer because he needed it before a vacation.

I see that on the prior cases you did settle the matter and it looks like you are going to here as well. Thank you for that. What concerns me is the common theme that the customer made several attempts to contact the company by phone and email with no response. If these claims are accurate I am sure you would agree they are very troublesome. People should not have to place posts on a public forum or send you a private message through this site just to get a response and action. You have a business email and a business phone. I have recomendations from others to do business with you, they say they had a positive experience, but this stuff gives me pause. So we have heard from the people complaining so I will ask you, do you answer your phone and email messages and return these contacts? Keeping the customer in the loop is as important as making the sale don't you think?

Nope, still no call or email on a follow up. I will pm john on here and see if that helps. All I have been asking for for three weeks now is a tracking number or confirmation of when I will get my exhaust. I understand that things happen and things are going to be late and what not but what I don't like is the feeling of..."well maybe I got ripped off"... Any communciation is all it takes. I have copies of various emails asking for help and have left several messages so I can't help but be frustrated and just want my money back to buy from someone else. If I'm going to get my exhaust...great...if not I wnat to buy it elsewhere. As for not having any JBA exhaust orders out I paid for mine on the 19th of last month and have heard nothing... so there has to be an order out. I have a copy of an email sent to JBA from John asking about the status of my order but that is the sole thing I have heard. So I know there is an open order or should be. I will PM john and hope for atleast some news. I filed a claim on paypal so if nothing else hopefully they'll help.

So I posted the same thing on Club Titan and the thread was removed because socal is a sponsor for them? Doesn't seem right? I'm not trying to cause problems...just to get help. I understand that things might be busy beut let me know!! Tell your customers ifthings will be late! It makes a world of a difference! If not the dissapointment from the anticipation leads to frustration.

Information UPS tracking # was sent once I got in this morning (approx 9:45am pst.) to his work email and through Paypal. Since he's not at work he wouldn't know that. I just got off the phone with JH and from our conversation, all is now well. JH, please confirm this with everyone here as well as CT. Enjoy your new exhaust.

John called me a few minutes after I pm'ed him which I do appreciate. I have the tracking information and it should be here Tuesday. This is what I wanted all along, thank you.
