If anyone has one available, I'm looking to buy the center console insert with the hole for the DVD player. Also looking for the mounting brackets. I have ordered both the insert and the brackets through my local dealer, however they have been on backorder for 4 weeks now.

Thanks so much for your help. I'm getting a couple different versions of what I think is the part number. Pops, a moderator over at clubarmada.com, listed the part numbers as follows:

The DVD Center Console Insert - Part # 96930-7S100
The DVD Right Bracket - Part # 28093-7S000
The DVD Left Bracket - Part # 28094-7S000

Also, I found the same part numbers listed and diagramed in an exploded view on nissan4u.com.

Hey there,

I checked up on the parts. The center console shows to be on B/O, but the brackets are available. Have you paid for any parts are your local dealer yet?

Yes, I have already paid for the parts. The parts guy at my local Nissan dealership placed the order and called me back the next day to tell me that they were on backorder. He asked if I wanted to cancel or keep the order active. He said something about Nissan sometimes tries to locate the part at dealerships across the US. If they found it, they would ship it out to my local dealership to pick up. I kind of questioned that statement, but I chose to keep the order active in hopes that the insert and brackets could be found. I'm guessing my only other option would be to start hitting the local junk yards.

I do appreciate your help. I'm guessing you work for a Nissan dealership? If so, why are parts like this so hard to find? Do they just not exist or are they made when they are ordered instead of making a batch at a time and put on a shelf somewhere in a warehouse?

Any new word on this? I've been trying to figure out a good place to mount my CB and I think this will be awesome.

Anyway, are they still on back order?
