Sorry to bring up an old thread but I just got a CC LWB and was able to fit 2, yes, TWO fourwheelers in the bed. My daughters 50cc sideways up front and my 300cc behind it. I personally like the look of the LWB CC better than the SWB CC but I hate to park it in store parking lots. Thats when we take the wifes accord ;)

The ride is also smoother then the SWB's I test drove even with the increased payload for a total of 2,000lbs.

I'm just curious of how many of you LWB drivers ever have to take their truck into a big city? I'd be all about one if I lived in the midwest or something, but along the I-95 corridor here i often find myself in Philly, Baltimore, DC - and parking that thing in a typical east coast city would be all but impossible...

I disagree.....i had an 04. My sole complaint was was the short bed. It didnt look right to me, and it was too short for my needs.

I think the LB CC are perfect and cannot wait until i can afford to get back into a Titan. ( I'm back in a 02 Frontier for financial reasons. Man, so small and underpowered, even with the supercharger)

I have parked my LWB CC in Boston and in Cambridge. Yes, you have to be picky about your spot and many of the garages are out due to the 6'2" clearance in them. But it is possible though not really fun.

I can see how those who don't use the bed would find it too long, and those used to driving cars & small trucks would find it hard to park. I also think it looks proportional, unlike a crew cab short bed.

I had a 6 1/2ft bed on my last truck & I can't count the number of times it was just a few inches too short to close the tailgate. For the longest time, you coudn't get anything longer than 5 1/2ft with a crew cab, then Toyota had a 6 1/2ft available, then Ford followed. When Nissan came out with the 7'3" bed on the crew cab I was drooling. Now I can close the tailgate with 2 bikes in the bed, and it's way more useful.

It is long, but with the backup sensors & spot mirrors, parking is easy.

I know I've mentioned it before but just thought I'd start a conversation on the topic. I looked at and drove the new long wheel base CC and I think Nissan should have also offered the current KCs bed on the CC instead of just the short and VERY long beds. The CC with the 6' (or whatever is on the regular bed KC) and a modest 10" wheelbase stretch would have gotten me into a new truck. But the new long bed CC has a 20" longer wheelbase and a bed far longer than most would need. (not to mention it now has an odd profile) That's my opinion. Anyone else agree?...disagree?
I wish Nissan could offer the Titan in a CrewCab with the same bed that's on the King Cab (6.5 ft). I have a KC now and love the large bed. However, my kids are getting older and will soon outgrow the back seat on the KC. The CC has ample room for them on long trips but the bed won't be able to carry all of the camping gear that we take (as compared to the KC) when towing our 27ft travel trailer. I have taken a long, hard look at the CC long bed but I can't get past the odd look, not to mention the length and turning radius. (The KC turning radius isn't great also.)

Ironically, if you look at my signature, I've traded my 04 CC for an 08 PRO-4X LWB since starting this thread. I'd have prefered to have a 6.5' initially but have since gotten used to having the extra length and wheelbase. I don't live in a city area so parking isn't a problem, nor is the somewhat exagerated turning radius you hear about. It's not that much different for it to be a real issue.
And Baystatesuks, do you live in oompa loompa land?....lol...where are these tiny parking garages with 6' 2" height limits? I've parked in MANY parking garages with my 04....although this new LWB would be like a bull in a china shop..:jester:

HVT - I just came back from a meeting in T.O. and was in 3 different parking garages where the height is only 6'.1". I had the CR-V just for this reason!

I find that hard to believe. That would mean I'd have to duck to walk into that garage? Since when did they start making parking garages for those who work in the little hollow tree? I'll have to look to see what the height limit is next time I'm near the parking garage. It's well over 7' though because I've even seen H2s parked there.

The 6'2" clearance is as you come up the ramps in certain spots. Keep in mind, the entire roads/parking, etc. in Boston are based on cow paths around existing buildings. Most old building have garages that were built low to minimize overall height of the building and/or to save space. They were also built way before SUV's and big a$$ trucks were around. So, I can park in the 6'2" garage in my building as long as I stay on the first level and don't try to go up the ramps.

Where I work in Cambridge at least two of the garages have 6'2" max. clearance and another has 6'4" max clearance. Of course, Cambridge is full of leftist environmentalist whackadoos whose Prius's and Civic Hybrids fit fine in said garages.

Never seen such a thing before. That would keep most every minivan on the market out of the parking garage.

The CC long bed is perfect for me! I can load my dirt bikes straight in and close (and lock) the tailgate - no need for the bed extender! I think they look good stock, but I lifted mine 6". It would be nice if Nissan offered a 6.5' bed for those that don't need the extra bed length.

agreed. the new LWB is the same lenght as 350 crewcab pretty much. can't park it anywhere

old-school what part of indy im just south of indy
i agrre wit ev1 if the 2009 would come with the 6.5 bed as part of an option pkg on CC I would trade my '05 CC for it. although i would hope that 2010 we would have the diesel option as well then the Titan would TRUELY be "The Titan of Trucks"

I think it depends on what kind of women you are into. If you are into high class conservative women that will not ride in the bed then you need the CC SWB since you can fit more chicks inside. If you like the wild hillbilly liberal women that are okay to ride in the bed then go with the KC LWB.

I can take both. The high class women ride in the cab, and the wild ones ride in the bed. :futwice:
