Bed Tent and an Air Mattress would be the best bet I would think.

Keep an eye on ebay; you can usually find the truck tents on there cheap sometimes, just make sure it fits the proper bed length.

Air matress works great on the camping trips. Ive slept in the cab on many occasions also. Not the most comfortable, but it will work!

I've got the under seat storage and keep it full. Without that I'd bet I could get a air mattress in without a problem. WITH it? Bit tight. I'll have to try laying down on the back seats.

I've slept on the rear floor with the seats up. I use thick heavy duty quilted moving pads, put some on both sides of the hump until they reach the top of the hump, then a couple more all the way across the floor. It's pretty comfortable.

I wouldnt sleep in there but there's plenty of room for other things...lol
My wife and I have knocked it out back there, plenty of room!

slept or tried to once.. drivers seat back, ac on.. few things i noticed.

i fit ok (6'7 here) but the headrest will kill you! now i pack a pillow just in case.

in the sun there is no way to keep the interior cool.. its like a heater from the windshield.

overall a miserable experience that i am not looking to repeat

Use one of those fold up shades, it helps. I use the soft ones that fold up into a circle, you can use them on the door windows too.

It's a truck. Why would you sleep in the cab when you have a nice bed in back?

I sleep in the truck bed on most winter trips to the mountains. A nice 0 degree down bag and a bed rug (provides closed foam insulation) and I'm comfy as a hotel. In the summer, an inflatable mattress and with sheets and a blanket and it's great.

It's one of the main reasons I bought a truck.

too cheap to buy a camper i guess. ive considered getting a shell, drilling the top and mounting one of those camper ac units in there so the back has its own system, for the dogs that is, not that i camp or anything.

then when im done adding all the $ up i figure its cheaper to just buy a landcruiser that has rear ac and comparable space for dog/human cargo..

I've only slept in mine once, had a bed full of cooler, tool box, second spare tire, motorcycle wheels, etc, etc...
I agree get a good bag, mat and hit the bed...

I sleep in my titan all the time! I am 6'4" and still make it work really nice. Either i have a queen size air mattress for the bed of the truck, or when sleeping in the city i change the cab around a bit.

This is on a KC. I remove the passenger head rest and move the seat up as far as it can go. Then i fold it down so it barley is above the rear seat. This forms a 'L". With my head at the drivers side rear door and my feet wrap around to the front passenger side, it rocks! Usually when partying and there is no more room in the house, i just head out to my truck for a good nights sleep with my music and my temp!
where in the bay are you at?

Tried it underneath the soft tonneau, but too much of that "casket" feel. I pack a tent now.

I've slept in the cab and in the bed quite a bit. I carry a small infatable matress that folds up into basically nothing. I just have the KC but I lay down the rear seats, and I luckily have the passenger seat that folds all the way forward into a table. Then I set up the matress with the head on the dash and feet on the back wall, never had a problem and I'm 6'3". Still can't beat sleeping wide open in the bed of the truck though.

Pushed both front seats forward, laid the backs down, tossed an air matress in there and climbed in. Not bad, might work. Cant stretch out but it'll do for a night or 2.
