HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!! I was just curious what my KBB.com would list my truck at for trade in value, its an 07 crew cab xe with tow hitch, 6 disc changer, premium package blah blah blah but with only 7,852 miles on it and in excellent condition they list it for $12,000  not that i will ever trade in (precious) but still holy crap thats $8,000 less then what i owe, rediculous i say. but of course with my 8" of lift on 35" tires they would probably give me another $500 on it. :fu: at this rate my crx is gonna be worth more by the time i pay it off.

If ANYONE bought a Titam for the resale, they weren't very smart.

I bought mine because:

1) Nissan has a reputation for reliability.

2) I wanted a V8 4WD.

3) Chevy wasn't even close on price.

4) Toyota wouldn't deal at ALL.

5) Ford was close but the engines were GUTLESS. My 1997 Ford F-150 with the Triton 5.4 was FAST ... new ones with same engine are SLOW ...

6) Nissan gave me areally GREAT deal, and would let me accept delivery 2 weeks before the money was in the account. I paid cash.

I have a 2007 Titan King Cab 4X4 and will keep it for maybe 10 years before doing a cash deal for another truck... assuming they still MAKE them, and we still have fuel available ....

not even sure how you got a value other than you are an 07. I tried both kbb and nada and nothing for 2008. Not that I could even hope to get out from under it only a year into the payment book. LOL

i got my truck for 23,900 out the door and like gregp said i only stick with jap cars and trucks for the same reasons and i got my truck for a hell of alot less than any domestic truck with similar options, i dont care about the resale value i was just shocked because of the price of gas the values have been dropping on gas guzzlers but again i knew that but didnt care anyway i just wanted my titan, after driving my buddies 04 i knew i wanted one. and i think the resale value on mine has something to do with being an xe, and hey deadriver it shows you have a 04 le how much did you pay out the door for yours if you bought it new? its all relative little civics that bluebook for 2000.00 in good condition you cant find one for under 4000.00 because of supply.

I don't have a good case for comparison to be honest..... it was an 04 purchased on the 28th of december 2004... the dealer hated me :) I payed way less but like my salary, I keep my number to myself... :)

I will say there were two things I forgot to "negotiate" one being sales tax and the second being an extended warranty, neither broke the deal or my bank so it worked out..... Next time I will keep those items in mind.

NADA lists mine at $16,000. I owe $24k. Looks like I'll be keeping mine for a while, but that's cool because my truck kicks ***.

Whats the big surprise here; its on TV, all over the internet, and newspapers all around the country, Pick-ups SUV's aren't selling!! Yoda, GM, Ford, Dodge all have resale values are in the tank we're not alone in this, take a deep breath grab a cold brewski get on with life NEXT!!!!

was in same boat with wifes car. she drove an 06 impala ss w 54000 miles. upside down by around $8000 she wanted something that gets better gas mileage. she tried trading just her car cause i really didn't want a new truck but payments where retarded that way to say the least. we traded my 05 titan in taht wasn't upside down on a car for her 08 altima and the ss in on an 08 titan se for me the rebates on titans ate up most of the upside down plus my 7 year son made them give him the gt-r poster on the salesmans wall plus three nissan hats or he said mom and dad won't be getting new cars today.
