Yes and the engine is built in Tennesee. How many Fords are built in Mexico? Someone said over 60% are built in Canada. OUCH. Talk about an Un-American truck. The Canucks are more liberal than John Kerry!

my thoughts exactly. its funny, i never really got upset when somebody called my vehicle a "rice burner", but the more they say it, the more i just want to say dont use your cell phone or look at your tv, cause its made w/ overseas components. things are a lot different now than they were just 20 years ago as far as imported goods are concearned. you used to be able to pick something that was either american made or foreign made. now, it all has some foreign part in it. that is fine w/ me. each country has their own thing that they do really well. the far east knows engineering, and we are all reaping the benefits. ill stop ranting aimlessly.

brand loyal

people who will only buy pseudo-american vehicles are only short changing themselves. as stated earlier, it is quality and personal satisfaction that counts. if someone wants to buy a POS because they like the way it looks, thats their business....to me, people like that have low expectations of what their vehicles should be....they think its normal and acceptable to have their vehicles in the shop often...to me, thats just unacceptable!

as for the competition from other truck owners....i noticed that in 2001 when i still had my tundra. i lived in minnesota at the time and i had never been challenged so much in a vehicle in my life!

My F-150 was made in Missouri. However, I dont care about owning JAP vehicles. Being a military man, I have been to Japan, Guam, Korea and every other country in the world. They are fine people and do great work. I had a blast over there. If you are getting crap from anyone, it is most likely an old war veteran or some dumb *******. No doubt. The war veterans are just stuck in their ways from the war...my grandfather included. The other guys are just too ignorant and dont like it because they think it is "American" to hate foregin vehicles. They they go hop on their Honda dirtbike :huh:

However, I am not being biased, but the Arabics (Iraq, Jordan, Saudi) are a bunch a @$$holes. They hate us and it shows.

Yes, the tone of the thread I find racist but for me not the term. The term used in it's context here, by LSTV's colleagues, is unacceptable. Maybe amongst people you don't know it is unacceptable not to be P/C. Like on this forum. I for one would not use the term Yank or Pom, in an inflamatory sentence, outside my group as the intent is not known.

The intent of LSTV use of the term was to inform us what his 'buddies' think of his truck.

Just my take on it and maybe I am wrong.

First of all, you guys can ban me from this board and all that if you want. Blah, blah, blah. But, cardesigner, dont ever tell me what I am going to do. EVER!!! It isnt like I can meet you somewhere and whoop your @$$ for mouthing me like that. Trust me, I do fully believe I can whoop your @$$. Furthermore, if you go back to the first post you will see why I stated "JAP" and put them in capital letters. The guy who started this thread said that as well. I was stating comments in your defense @$$munch. Read my post.

I do not care if you are Japanese or Indian, Black, White...whatever. I have been in the military for 9 years...I think I have met quite a diverse bunch of people. Also, my friends range from Mexican to White, to black to who the hell knows what else. Get that racism crap out of your head moron. It's people like you who keep racism alive by being offended at some stupid little word or phrase that you take and blow it up like I was personally insulting you. That is beyond ignorant.

I stated the word "Jap" in sarcastic reference to the very first post on this thread and how stupid it sounded. Get real.
