I would get dyno tuned if you don't want to mess with all the software/computer stuff, otherwise I would buy the software yourself and use the etune's to get tuned.

If you have the cash, just get dyno tuned. When I got my headers, my very first header was absolutely beautiful. It got me running 13.84 and I hgad no desire to log and e-tune. They got it nearly perfect on the first shot...But sometimes it take a couple e-tunes to get it right, so if you have the cash, go to Relentless and just get it done. Then you dont have to worry about logging and waiting for new tunes. You'll know that the tune you have is awesome and won't have to do anything else. Once they get their TB and Mani out I will also get dyno tuned. Then I'll get dyno tuned for Nitrous

uprev uprev uprev!

Not sure. They ARE working on them. They should be in R&D by now I hope. I think I am going to have them bore out my 07 intake manifold and get a 90 mm TB. That will be good for me. Dyno tune for 650 is pretty good, hopefully they will come out with those parts soon. I'm going to PM them and see where their at. There some very long threads about them on CT

I would do both, get the software then have someone tune it using your software from uprev. Most shops around here will tune it for 100-150 bucks if you have your own tuning software.

I would like to do both. I'll give Relentless a call Monday and see what kind of a deal we can hash out.

I'm reading but cant really respond here!!! LOL If you get your Truck Dyno tuned, then you can rest assure that your tune is for your truck. Not that there is anything wrong with the e-tunes. If you are driving 3.5 hours to come here I will make you a offer you cant refuse. Ask anyone here we make your trip worth every penny. Our shop is very fun and all our guys are very personable. We like giving Test drives in the turbo toys while your getting tuned. You def get VIP treatment from us. Yes the TB and MF stuff is almost out of the R&D and we will be putting it on a Titan soon to see what it does.

You have to buy the TUNER from UPREV ($900) to tune it your self. Thats what I have and a couple of other people have bought.

By the middle of next month I should have my headers, catback and hi-flow cats installed. Should I make the trip to RelentlessRPM or order the Uprev myself? If I do get tuned at Relentless do I get any software (osiris) to keep or would I have to buy it as well?
Warning! This is a very long post. If you don't like longs posts, stop reading this one now... Continuing to read this long post removes any right to whine about the length of this message. :)

Great question! A couple of months ago I would be sitting here waiting for all the answers from others to make the same decision myself... Now, having been through the whole process, I have some answers that you make take with however many grains of salt you like.

First, a disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Relentless RPM and have not been offered any special deals, sponsorship, or any other kind of renumeration to represent them or other wise toot their horn - I just like the way they do business and I like having someone here in Florida that is that interested in my truck. I got hooked up with them because my ECU had not yet been dumped so it could be patched for tuning and they were able to arrange for me to dump it myself to get the process started instead of having to make multiple trips to have them or another Pro Tuner do it and then again to tune me. They were also highly recommended by someone who's opinion I trusted completely and that by itself is invaluable to me.

Now, my opinion: Give Brad at Relentless a call. Period. They can sell you any level of Uprev you'd like to get and they are HERE IN FLORIDA so you get "local" support whatever way you decide to go. They will sell you the "one time tune" done on a dyno and you won't have to mess with it again (I believe that's the $650 deal but do check) or you can get the whole package with Osiris and Cypher and either have their Pro Tuner do just e-tunes or add a dyno tune to get the most out of it. I chose the whole deal with dyno tune and John (the Pro Tuner) sent me e-tunes to get me going until I got down there for the dyno tune. The e-tunes were great (I did the logging, he re-tuned, etc) but NOTHING compares with what he can do with your truck on his dyno... I'm getting headers later this month and I will be going back down to get tweaked on the dyno again - I fully intend to get the most out of my investment. You will be missing out on a lot if you don't at least get Cypher with your tune - it is an invaluable performance analyzer and diagnostic tool. If you're into that kind of detail...

I am not saying anything at all against Uprev - they are still making their money on a great product and Jared was very helpful from the beginning of the process but, they are slammed most of the time and I doubt you want to drive there to get personal service or a dyno tune. I didn't...

I am also not saying anything against the other two Pro Tuners here in Florida but I don't have any experience with them other than phone conversations and Relentless has gone out of their way to become involved with the Titan community and is a full service performance shop that is working on every aspect of our trucks - they get "it" and they get "us". No one else is going nearly that distance. I will be going there for most anything I can't do myself from now on - the 2.5 hour drive is worth it for the quality of work and peace of mind. The customer service is awesome. The prices are as good or better than anywhere else... It's a no-brainer for me.

Hope that helps. PM me if you'd like any more details.

Man, it was a long post! Several answers since I started writing it... ah well...

My pleasure! I don't hesitate to b!tch about bad products or service experiences and I rather enjoy the rare opportunity to report good ones! I'm quite sure you won't be sorry.

If only I could drive my truck there, I would have already been there, now that I know TB and Mani will be out soon, I will wait for my dyno tune. Everyone that has gone to Relentless has been impressed. I was going to buy Uprev Osiris and do the logging and e-tuning, but I dont have a laptop. Everytime I wanted to log or load a new tune before, I had to meet up with Gary or Paul. Now I will just get those last mods and get dyno tuned, then I will have to get a Nitrous tune cause I want to run a little 50 shot too. Do we get 5 maps with the dyno tune?
