I am wanting to get my engine cover custom painted and thought it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to painted engine covers. With that said let's see em.

Now like this:......I painted this one a couple days before our last Houston Meet..it was sitting in primer for months..I couldn't decide on what to do...so I just sprayed it like this for the meet...It'll change..soon...lol

Well, these were going to mine, but I've sold them and bought some new ones to do. Haven't decided yet.

You got it right Maildude, nice thread, I want this done soon as well and am looking to get ideas. I just painted mine solid silver now to match my truck, but I want some custom flames Maybe with VK56 some where in there.
Well, from the number of the low posts, "Scottsbro" we need to take care of these guys, and get their covers painted for them.
I decided I really want flames, but I don't think silver flames would look good..Do you??...Anyway, maybe just Silver with VK56 in Black lettering across it. Actually, i would throw in a couple of "shadow-ey" skulls too. Any pricing info for that??
The silver is not a good color to get detail out of, but it can be done. Here'a a plain silver that I did on a fan shroud. I still think the True fire is the best looking one.

OK, maybe blue flames on bottom half then since I have the split engine cover, "VK56" on one side and "Racing" on the other. If that doesn't sound right, I guess I can go true fire LOL. I like the flames on bottom half and VK writing on top, now just have to decide flame color
Still working on my design thinking about Atlanta Braves/Florida Gators. Hopefully I have something worked out in the next day or two.
Yeah, bit I think "VK56 Racing" and "Nismo" might be too much. I wish I was more creative. It's funny, I am in most of the recent engine cover threads saying the same thing. I need to be more creative.
I have the same problem with creativity my 14 year old son came up with the design and the photoshop work. Where the colors meet football laces and baseball threads.
I guess I'll have to go with Blue flames (any other suggestions for color?) going up and nipping at the bottom of VK56 Racing, then have Nismo either in the same place as you, or have it on the side where the cover points down
can you do the pin up in my sig on mine with the army olive drab as the background color?

I believe their may be no pricing because then that would be crossing lines as a vendor maybe?? Or because it probably varies with each piece of art.
