just installed a pioneer avh 4100dvd this weekend and wow, its an awesome f'n head unit. the touch screen is perfect and the screen is suprisingly clear, has lots of cool features with quite of bit of expandability options. only downfall is no navi, but you can add that on for the right price, with cell phones nowadays who needs it anyways. as for the speakers, i went with the pioneer premier series, 3 ways. definately a lot more clear and powerful!

paid 400 for the head unit
paid 59 for the 6x9's
paid 49 for the 6.5's
(all thanks to ebay!)

just thought i would let you guys know :redblob"

I'm looking to upgrade all my speakers. I have pioneer premier subs. Did you have the factory Rockford Fosgate system?

What double din kit did you use and what wiring harness? I just picked up the 3100dvd.

the avh4100dvd is a badass hu. post some pics when all is hooked up.

The titan will fit a double din by using the factory radio brackets..No kit needed. Usually there's a little gap around the edges, but the radio should come with a trim ring to take care of that..On the other hand, if the dash bezel has the cd face built on it, that would require ordering a new kit. Basically a whole new bezel.

if your XE you can use the factory hole. the SE and LE have the different radio, and you will have to have a dash kit, or buy the XE dash part.

o wow i completely forgot about this thread, well as far as the wiring harness i used a schosce (something along those lines, dont remember how to spell it) but they sell it at best buy, its for like 1979+ nissans, but double check the back because it has a list of cars it works with. and then for the dash kit i used a metra. i have an se so it wouldnt fit straight in the dash. however like stated before you can just cut the stock one out because it does use all of the factory mounting hardware. i can get pics a lil later today, but definately a highly recomended head unit, i got the new ipod touch 32g 3rd gen for xmas and it is compatible with it and the controls through the stereo are awesome!

How much do you love the 4100? I got mine as soon as they were available for sale and I freakin love it!

Were you able to use the factory brackets to hold the radio or did you get a kit with after market ones?
