So I was talking to a mechanic today and he was telling me if I was going to lower my truck, I would hurt my spindles and kill my tires and what not. So I figured I would ask people with the same setup.

I have
3'' springtech drop leafs
belltech rear shocks
suspension max shackles
Belltech -2'' struts

Is that all I need to lower my truck or am I missing something? Will this hurt my truck just running these items? Also, Is this going to make my tires set it like this ( / )? lol...

Someone should be able to answer my question!

it isnt going to hurt your truck but running that setup nor is it going to " hurt your spindles. yes it will ruin your tires and maybe the rim with it constantly like ( / ). if you were going to do that then run bags so you can pick the front up enough to make the tire ride like ( _ ) instead.

Hmmm...I wasen't aware of this. So the only way from keeping the tire from being like ( / ) is to run bags? Lol I can't afford to buy to many sets of 24's...

not the only way, but the easiest. you can body drop it or buy loweing spindles and springs this will keep it ( _ )

Hmmm...This sucks, I didn't know all of this before I bought the drop lol...Aren't spindles like $800+?

The risk of spindle damage comes from the reduced suspension travel.
If the suspension can't soak up the bump, it's going to hit the next point of failure, which would likely result in a bent spindle.

You have to remember that way too many guys slam vehs without knowing what the heck they're doing...We see them ALL the time at the alignment shop!!....Butchers...:ftard:

You fret over the cost of drop spindles, but they are one of the best overall ways to drop a front end and not run out of travel or have the suspension at weird angles, or not be able to hit the correct alignment numbers...

I just couldn't afford it hahaha....

Oh I can understand that...but you need to know that going a different cheaper route may still not be the right answer...

Yeah, but I've seen this setup work for others. So maybe I'll get lucky.

just get an alignment after you get your truck lowered and you should be fine.

If you are really that worried about it, dont lower the truck..

FYI, you will be basically riding on bump stops on the front end with a 2" drop.

Lol how hard is it going to be to bottom it out? I love the look of a lowerd titan so its worth it.

it will be bottomed out. these trucks have horrible suspension travel stock.

From my understanding, as long as you stay with less than 2" Drop on the Front, you should be fine after an alignment. The Rear is a solid axle, so it shouldn't matter.

:dunno: I could be wrong but I would guess you might need Lowering Springs for the front unless those Belltech are a full coilover with springs already included, or are adjustable for the OEM coils. I would confirm with Belltech before installing.

Intrax makes a Progressive rate 2" lowering spring:

.... and Springtech makes some that I think might be a Linear rate:

04-10 Nissan Titan 2" Lowering Springs

It's my understanding that OEM are Progressive so I would assume that they might ride better than Linear would. :dunno:

Rob, I have the same setup but I am running 20s. I bought the camber bolts, got an alignment, and my truck is fine. It will bottom out if you hit a pretty big bump but so far I haven't had any problems.
