Weird I know, but between 1600 and 1800 RPM I have a squeal coming from my CAI. I just installed it, it is a InSys system. It sounds exactly like the brake bad indicators. If I go above or below those RPMs it stop right away.

I checked and can't find an air leak and all connections are tight. I'm just not sure, any ideas? :teethmast

It's normal with a CAI and even more so with a TBS.

Just enjoy it!

You know it's a rule that you have to have an exhaust to go with the CAI :smileyhat

Thanks for the info and although I usually ike to break the rules I'm running duals with a 22" Maggy. Running out behind both rear mud flaps.

haha ya i thought it was my fuel pump for a sort time...my nismo is relatively noticeable with no traffic around

my insys doesn't squeal when i accelerate it just goes SSSSHHHHHOOOOOOWWWWWWSSSSHHHH! or SHUUUCHP! on short revs.

Looks like you have it well under control...

A CAI and the magnaflow go together like beer and chicken wings...

i have heard that if it makes a squeal you should check your clamps and make sure they are all tight and everything is fit up properly.

Thanks for the input.

When I accelerate I get the same great sound. It's just when I cruising like a grandpa that I get it. It only produces it under load (in drive). If I sit in P or N I can't get it?????????????????????????

My filter really isn't that tight by itself, but I have her clamped on tight.

The other thing I was thinking of is the supplied crank hose extensions. I used the ones supplied because I liked the blue tubes. I was just wondering if theses aren't being sucked closed alittle and squealing like a little piggy.

that may be the prob, i replaced my blue hoses with black rubber hose from auto zone, 5 buck for 4 feet, only used a foot of it or so. id try that, its a cheap fix fi it works if not then at least you got quality hose instead of blue silicone hose.
