I can't afford a 5.0 Stang. I can however afford a 13-15k GTO. The exhaust is already good. $150 for Magnaflow muffler swap, $50 for an X-pipe, $500 for coated inside and out Paceseeter LT's and catless mid pipes. Then I'll spend the $450 or so for a dyno tune from a local shop thta a few members used. With that I can run low 12's (obviously I will need slicks or DR's pretty much from the get-go). Then once I add a CAI and underdrive pulley I should be solid really low 12's. Then a mild cam and re-tune and all in the 11's. The cam I'm looking at is only $385. I have no idea how much heads/intakes mani's normally cost, but yeah they are expensive for the GTO. However, I can just get LS3 OEM heads and intake manifold for a nice gain. (although it will be many years before I even look at Heads). I just want headers, muffler swap, tune, CAI, UD pulley to be rock bottom 12's, then when tax returns come, get the mild cams and have Papa-D's neighbor install them...I know what you are saying, the new 5.0 will be the best bang for the buck car out. But you have to admit, for $13-$15k, getting a 6.0 LS2 is not too bad, its as fast as a stock Camaro SS, and I can have payments in the low $300's. I know it can be beat, but its in the top echilon for performance. Its a good race with the SRT-8's, with the GTO winning more often. The Titan is the fastest truck I have been in, so you can imagine how fast this car is going to be to me. Once I get a couple mods, I will drive over to Texas and race you and KHA's Titans lol. Then when you get a 5.0 Toomny, I will have to get you before you add hardly anything lol
