I'm out. I'll go buy cats and get stainless pipe from work and have a buddy TIG weld it.
Let us know man if your buddy can do a couple of sets... :)

I'm thinking some MF 90006's, use the pre-cat OEM B Pipe section, weld a new 2.5" aft section w/ O2 insert... parts and labor should still be well under $350... just brainstorming and my $.02 worth of thought... but I also dumped the idea of getting these and ordered Walker resonated B Pipes instead... couple weeks from now, I am going to finally get on my JBA short tube project... JBA short tubes, flanged to MF 94606 cats, flanged to Walker B pipes... at least that's the current plan...

I'm going to a local exhaust shop...

All you guys need to do is go to a local exhaust shop and get your b-pipes. I got mine for $60 and told him to make them flow as good as possible. I gained over .2 in the 1/4 mile with mine and they aren't even mandrel bent. They flow great for 75% less than stillen b-pipes.

I agree that as good or better results can be had by fabbing up custom b-pipes, for a lot less money.

However, I have yet to find an exhaust shop worth a darn in my area. I just prefer to do things myself when possible, which is why I like the Stillen B-pipes being a bolt in solution.

I'm very picky about exhaust. I don't like loud exhausts, especially if they sound like crap. A bolt in solution would allow me to go back easily if I don't like the sound.

Go with the walker. I have some waiting to be put on my truck, probably be done tomorrow or Monday. I'll let you know how they changed the sound of the exhaust.

There might be a bigger price drop, So who is still interested in this group buy?

Still in if they get it down to around the 350-360 mark.

I figure this, cats 160 at 80/a piece. Price as of right now. 453.28 so that leaves almost 300 for pipes and manufacturing, so I think they can do better, we will see. I understand they are in business to make money, but I can't see the pipes and welding with a fixture already made to come up with 300 more bucks. I may be wrong but I think I can get it done cheaper than that, even if I did pay retail for cats which I am sure with quantity they don't pay that much.
I just want a bolt on solution that fits right. If not it is incovenient to have someone make them on site and get it there and such, but if that is what I have to do, then so be it. The Walkers won't work for me, I want stainless due to weather here, and I need or should I say want the Cats to be on it, I know Uprev can remove that but I don't want to go that route. Does anyone know of the bends and such we need to buy stainless from a mandrel bend company and such, a list of materials I should say, to have a set made without having to bend on site. Mandrel benders are not plentiful in exhaust shops, so would like the pieces ready and some flanges and just weld up if need be. Oh and a couple O2 bungs as well. May not need those, I think those magnaflow cats have O2's in the back of the cat but not sure.

I am pretty sure it will happen, but thats if everybody who was on this thread keeps their word.

There is no way I'm paying over $250 for them. Like posted above, the cats are going to be right around $160 and I can get stainless pipe and flanges and have it welded together for less than $100.
....but you won't have the "stillen" tab welded on the piping, or an "Off Road Use Only" stamped on it... those alone gotta be worth 100...

I understand paying for a "name", but the so-called discount wasn't that much. It would cost us $80.00 ea for the cats ourselves. You'd think that a big name like stillen would be able to get them at cost and the up that a little, not the full amount. I understand that they still need to make money, but only a 5% discount is like a slap in the face. I'm going against my word, I'm out.

Definitely. Shouldn't be a problem at all. What is the general consensus as far what is best size piping to use for them?
Great... the general consensus is 2.25. IIRC, we will need to buy mandrel bent piping that's 15* and the other 30*. Then source some SS O2 bungs (for the O2 sensors) and SS flanges plus the Magnaflow cats part # 94035. Finally TIG weld it all together and we'll have clones of the Stillen B-pipes! LOL

I too would have done it myself but finding someone that can/will TIG weld in Orlando, FL is a huge PITA!

If Stillen doesn't come up with some better more realistic pricing then I will just have the cats welded into my factory B-pipes. The flanges aren't SS but the piping is so they won't be as pretty as the Stillens or have the "fancy badge" but they'll work and my wallet will thank me!

The Magnaflow cats aren't set up for the 02 sensors already?
They are but some folks were still throwing codes with the sensors in the cats. IIRC, they really need to go downstream of the cat. I could be wrong but I know some members were having issues...

Check the photos out from Import2nr's B-pipe install and you can see that the Stillens have bungs welded in...

Thanks Ryno for trying to get something done!
