GRILLE GUARD for Pro 4X?? Help

I have been searching for a Grille Guard for my 2010 Pro 4X. From what I understand, I would have to take my front skid plate off which I do not want to do. I assume the plate could be modified as well, but I would rather not do that either. Does anyone know if there is a guard out there that will allow me to keep my skid plate. I'm not looking for a winch mount guard, just a basic guard to provide minor protection and a spot to mount some lights. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks. I believe I have seen that thread, because I had been thinking about a bull bar but changed my mind. I figure that the grille guard will be a similar situation, but I just didn't know if someone has run across a different experience. I have called a couple of companies whose application guide says that a product will fit on the Pro 4x, but the plate will have to be removed. I appreciate the response to my post though.

Get an OEM brush guard. I have one, They are pretty strong, mount inside where the tow hooks attach to the frame and they have tow rings in the brackets. You will still be able to keep the skid plate too. They are pretty rugged. Just make sure it is the Nissan OEM one. Try searching on Cragslist or in the buy/sell forums here.

Thanks for the input. I am wondering, if indeed the OEM will fit my 2010. I will have to call. I am not sure if anything critical was changed for 2010 or somewhere else along the line; I found one place that was selling them on line but the application just went up to either 2007 or 2008. Do you have any pictures of yours or how it mounts that you can post? I was looking at the aries grille guard too(that I can't put on my truck w/out modification to the plate) and I liked it becasue it only weighs 69 pounds.

x2 on the OEM brush guard. IMO it is the best looking and most rugged brush guard available for the Titan, you get to keep your skid plate, and there are built-in tow hooks in the factory location. There's a pic of mine in my sig. Good luck!

Bullbar, brush guard and front receiver might not work on your 2010. Lots of posts about this and it looks like the frame where the skidplate and tow hook meets up is different then on the previous years. Double check with the aftermarket manufacture and make sure they have test fitted on a 2010. Hunter bull bar does NOT fit the 2010.

I think the OEM Grille Guard should fit just fine... Most of the aftermarkets have wider mounting brackets that won't fit the 2010 frame, but the OEM mount brackets are shaped identically to the Tow Hooks so I think it'll fit... The strength comes in the added thickness (height) and solid steel construction of the mounting brackets, they might weigh about 10lbs-15lbs ea... I knocked a small hole in a too short to be visible concrete pillar in Sea World San Antonio parking lot with mine and it didn't even leave a scratch on the grille guard mount... The weak part is the horizontal cross bars and headlight guards, they are hollow and flimsey and might easily bend or break if anything hits those but the vertical sides are very rigid and solidly mounted.

I just had this one put on my 2012 Titan Pro-4x:

04-11 Nissan Titan Armada Grill Brush Guard 05 06 07 08 | eBay

$200 + $50 installation and they were about 10 mins from my work. The two installers had a doozy of a time in the Houston summer heat trying to figure out how to install it without removing the skid plate, but ended up taking it off, installing it, and putting the plate back on anyways. Had to take the tow hooks off, but I don't miss them at all.
