Ok so I built a box a few months ago with the exact measurements to get .625 Cubic feet required for my JL 10w3v3-4 in a sealed box. The box is well sealed with wood glue, screws and extra caulking. No cracks or leaks of any kind. My problem is that whenever I go to turn in up, it pretty much falls flat on it's face. I need to figure out whether I need to make a new box, new sub or whatever. I have a suspicion my sub might be going out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is not my strong suit.

A JL 250/1 amp... I'll look at the ohm rating tomorrow. The sub is a 4 ohm. That's what the 4 at the end of 10w3v3-4 according to the website.

Messing with the ohms isn't going to do much for your problem. Try changing the actual frequency with the equalizer on the amp.. if that doesn't do anything, then yeah its safe to say there's either a leak or the sub is going out.

I'm fairly certain it's the sub. I'll toy with it some more, but it looks like I might need a new one. Anybody got any recomendations for an under 150$ sub?
