After going thru 4-5 Diffrent exhaust systems. I finally found out the trick to having a good sounding exhaust on the Titan is using a 20-22" body oval magnaflow muffler Nuthing else will work of get rid if the nasty rapsyness we all hate. Even with having no cats and long tube headers my truck sounds tame till I punch it. Hehe
LOL, tried that already...even flipped it around to be single in/dual out and still sounded like a fart.

don't think you had the right size oval then.. cause me and others on this site that have tried this muffler: MagnaFlow Exhaust Products - For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles
have had phenominal results and almost stock sounding exhaust till you punch it then it's just a deep roar..

i seriously doubt you tried this muffler cause if you would've you would'nt have taken it off your truck.. it's massive over 28" long the body alone is 22" and comes with tons and tons of packing..

Since I have an '08, I had the one that was dual/single which was part number 12580 I believe...5x11 oval, 22" body, 2.25" dual/2.5" single...tried it with dual in/single out then flipped it and added a y collector to make it single in/dual out. Did the same with the 18" (12258 I think) before I had the 22". Spent a total of around $300 +/- trying to make a magnaflow sound right on my truck....ended up getting a $35 flowmaster knock off from ebay and now these two bullets and it sounds better now than it ever has.

guess long as your happy.. i spent probably well over $2,000 on diffrent catbacks trying to find the perfect one.. as far as sound/performance goes.. and it came down to being the cheapest as well, which was odd.. the jba catback with magnaflow muffler swap.. had awesome sound and performance
also if your happy with how your truck sounds now dont ever add headers cause the raspyness just gets 100x worse..
