will post more after install.

Some have had success by heating caliper bracket bolts with mapp torch.

As far as impacts go, many of the available 1/2 drive impact wrenches are pretty lame and incapable of removing the tough stuff. IR 2135 Q-Ti Max is a beast.

ya the impact wrench isnt gonna do anything to help you. just heat them up and use a cheater bar. the cheater bar is a must

Try soaking the bolt with PB Blaster for good while, cheater bar and maybe a rubber hammer for some extra force. Good luck.

Soak them like said above with a cheater bar. Another thing you should plan ahead for is separating the hub from the stock spindle. Was a major pita for me.

When the instructions say "you may need to tap the hub out with a hammer" it really means " bring out the BFH and pound on it for about 15 minutes until it finally comes out." just make sure your hitting it squarely or you'll put it in a bind.

appreciate all your input guys. i went to this shop 4wheelparts in salida and got me a quote. $ 485 including alignment. does that sound reasonable?

It's your money, but installing that lift is very easy with just basic hand tools. Have a friend to help you put the rear blocks as it can be a pain to muscle the axle around by yourself. I keep hearing about people having to beat the hell out of the hub to get it out of the spindle. I did not have any trouble knocking mine out with a rubber malet. Get that allen socket for the new spindle bolts before you start. Most people don't have anything that large in their tool box. Rolling around in a driveway always sucks, but you can get the whole thing done in 2~3hrs with a buddy maybe less.

I agree with above. That kit is a basic bolt on which doesn't take much effort but a little bit of your time. You'll learn a thing or two under your truck while you're at it. Just take your time and install it right the first time. If you run into trouble just come on here and someone will chime in.

pry bar will get those bolts out no problem. i had a similar problem when i did mine

a long wrench and slide the pry bar on the end for leverage

I didn't have the Allen to take out the bolts from the spindle to the hub, so I had to wait till the next day to get one. And I had removed the spindle from the truck, I just put it in a vice while I removed and installed the hub. Also, my hub cam off fairly easily once the bolts came out? From what I remember I took it off by hand?
