It takes time, trust me I know. I ran 16.2 and 16.9 in my Titan before I learned to launch it. Go 1/2 throttle then after your rolling quickly ease into full throttle. Takes practice, its not a jerky motion. Thing that is hard to overcome is the nerves

The lightning had a rookie driver also, jeje , I talked to the guy and it was his 3rd time at the track, and he said it was jumping to much at launch.
