Just a thought...
Buy the rigid duallys, install them in the fog location. (like RyBo and madrock)
Then use your oem fogs and install those behind the grille.

The oem fogs are small and are plenty bright with HIDs.
That's a good suggestion. Too bad I jumped the gun and sold my OEM fogs/HID bulbs.

Now how the Heck did you know I was shooting for 100watts?

I am working on a different kit and its not 100W it will be closer to 75W. Oh and let me worry about the temps and voltages. I used to be an engineer
JB mentioned those on one of our dozen calls... Lol. Where you getting your's from? My middle two lights still need converting ;)

N2- Thanks for looking up that picture, I think you have a better understanding of how much light would actually pass through with a 20" bar behind there. That was the second reason for the bar, clearance. Although the RBP grille does allow more space behind the grille, the "height" of the lights is the issue. That's what I liked about the LED bar, low and long profile, with plenty of bright light. I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on this. I just gotta see how hard the install will be.

That's the same 20" LED bar I have. These are the Chinese ones going around (Threat motorsports, eBay, Totron, etc) and I believe JB on here is working on selling them too. I love mine btw. Just FYI, it's a FLOOD beam.

I don't know if M&R is putting together a wiring harness with their LED bars but mine didn't come w/ one (purchased mine thru threat motorsports). Calculate around $50 to make your own w/ Radio Shack components.

Rigid Industries LEDs come w/ a wiring harness. It may be worth contacting AJUSA on here or an eBay seller (pro4jackster got a good price on ebay) about the best price shipped on a Rigid 20" to compare the final price after wiring harness cost and shipping.

An LED bar behind the RBP grill, like the Rigid Rapter kit, would look good in my opinion.
Rigid is way out of my price range. Don't get me wrong, I would love to buy American, but as a student, a $700 light bar is more than I can afford.

RobKar, i got the hella 500FF and wanting to do the same intall, wanna help me out with the bracket style and how you went about the install please ?
X2! I want to do it behind a horizontal billet grille. I think I might have a little extra room to play with vs OEM

I didn't realize it was such a tight space... maybe the aftermarket grille provides a little more space than the oem grille.

Maybe, an LED bar will work fine. I didn't realize the mesh is that thin and transparent.
I think they will fit behind your grill ... you should have ~ 4.5 -5 inches behind that one.

I am not OEM ... I have the horizontal grill and its fricken tight! .. HA!

I will let you know. I know that JB is trying to hook me up, lets see if he can come through ... HA

I'm gonna get all the dimensions from M&R this weekend will see what will fit back there.

Just measure it, I am not sure how that grill mounts but it should just come off.

I installed this RBP grille myself the first time (before my wreck) and it is a ***** and a half to get mounted perfectly. So the less I have to mess with it the better. I'm going to take the top covers off and will be able to fit my hands and a measuring tape in there to check it out. But I need to get the exact dimensions from M&R to see exactly how much room the 20" bar will take.

I agree, That's why I have this LED bar on my truck. I figured if they're talking about 15-20% off Rigids then it's worth a shot.

Yeah...plus, I've heard of people having issues with Rigid recently with condensation in the lenses. I like the fact that M&R still seals their lights with silicone even though they are discounted.

Any idea how much a 20" LED bar from Rigid would run? I can get an M&R 20" bar for $375 shipped.

Last time I looked a 20" bar from rigid was running about 600 before any discounts.

I showed my buddy the totron sight a few weeks back and he jumped the gun and ordered up 2 of the 12" bars. He ended up giving me one as "payment" for installing his HIDs and installing the bar when he gets a new grill. I) have HID high, low, and fogs, so the bar just adds extra light, it does not throw light any farther than my HIDs. I want to grad a couple of 20" bars though and stack them on my bull bar, I think that would greatly increase the distance I can throw light.

My old setup was 2 5" KCs behind the grill in the middle, they fit fine there, I am looking for a way to move them to the outside sections of the grill like RObkar did but I haven't looked at it real hard yet. I think I will have space issues because the KC's are pretty big.

How close were the 500's to fitting? Hella makes these which are supposed to be "super slim". It doesn't give dimensions, and I doubt HID would work since the bulb is long.
