FINAL EDIT 3/26/2004
A donation of $2,300 in Chris' name from his friends at TitanTalk.com has been made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
We are going to be making a lot of children very happy with this donation.
You should all be very proud of yourselves for the donations you have made. I know Krishta and the rest of the family are truly moved by the outpouring of sympathy and respect we have shown Chris.
A copy of the certificate has been attached to the bottom of this message for all to see.

If possible, this thread will be updated daily so make sure you read though it.
The moderators have decided to put together a fund for Chris' (CaliforniaTitan) family. So far we have raised over $1,600
If you wish to contribute to the fund for Chris' family, please send your donation to my PayPal account rrumaner@comcast.net.
Chris' obituary can be found here: http://legacy.com/signonsandiego/LegacySubPage2.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=3253718
UPDATE (3/1): After talking to Krishta and her family, I have been asked to use the money we collect to make a donation to the "Make a Wish" foundation in the name of Christopher W. King (CaliforniaTitan's real name). I find that this is an extremely generous offer on their part and hope that everyone that can contribute will do so.
Remember, you are not obligated in any way to contribute.
This fund is set up now and will remain active until March 15th. All monies raised at that time will be used as the family requests.
Make sure that you indicate that you are donating to the CaliforniaTitan fund and that your name and email address are included. I will make sure to send each person that contributes an email to indicate that I received your donation. If you want me to list the nickname you use on the forum, make sure you include that as well.

As many of you have already read on the forum, our original Moderator and good friend, CaliforniaTitan (Chris), has passed away. While we don't know the circumstances yet, we are deeply saddened by this news.
We have lost a good friend and as moderators we have become a very close group, we have a lot of feelings running through us right now.
We are asking that everyone think three or four times before you press the submit button if what you are posting is really what you want to say. We are going to be understandably sensitive towards any post that tries to incite any trouble and will not banter back and forth before we simply ban someone.
We simply are not in the mood right now to play the game as we have in the past.
Respect our sorrow and show everyone that this forum is truly the first class forum we all know it can be.
Do not make waves right now, it simply isn't the time right now.
Remeber that the Titan, or any other truck, is just a hunk of steel and plastic. It can easily be replaced, people can't.
Thank you for understanding and let's all keep Chris' family in our thoughts and pra-yers.
