Excellent, if he is having a Military Service those will look very nice with all the Dress Blues the Sailors will be wearing this time of year.
This is from an email from Chris' sister.

"As for the arrangements. We are trying to get a memorial service set up but nothing is in stone yet. As per my brothers request, there will not be a "real funeral". He will be cremated and his ashes spread out to sea from aboard the first Navy vessel that will be available to do it and they only allow immediate family...could be a month, could be a year. At this point I am thinking the longer time period because Krishta is still in the mind set that she wants my brother close to her...so its a wait and see. As soon as the memorial service has been set up, I will let you know the details. "

I am waiting for her permission to post the entire email she sent me, but this part will let everyone know the details of the funeral/service he requested.

rrumaner-

The card was perfect.

Your efforts in arranging all the things you've done, and the care in which you're handling the situation is commendable.

I know the family appreciates it, and the members at TT do as well.

Thanks again for all your efforts.

I wanted everyone to know that I have sent flowers to Krishta from all of us here at TitanTalk.com. The money came from a couple of people that sent me money specifically marked "for flowers". The remainder of the money in that fund will be added to the donation fund.
VERY NICE.

That's the instructions I also have in my will. They will actually as we call it bong us off.

Ring the bell twice over the 1 MC (ships PA system) and announce "Chief Petty Officer Chris... Departing". It's really quite moving for anyone who has ever been present for one.

Absolute Honor and Class is the only way to explain being saluted and layed to rest by your fellow brothers and sisters in arms.

Thanks for sharing that.
Tim

I served onboard the USS Bowen (FF-1079) and did many burials at sea, including several bodies. Actually participated in one as a pallbearer (don't remember the name, got the body ready to be slid into the sea). When I was stationed in Staten Island we did several for homeless vets with no families where the burial was handled by the local veteran's affairs group...not only Navy but also some Marines. As Tim said it is a moving ceremony, for no matter how crazy, off-the-wall, or immature we were, everyone always acted with the reverence and respect due a departed veteran, and I never saw a disappointed family on our ship after a ceremony.

All of this is just awesome.....truly awesome. My donation is on the way.

It Is Only Fitting

To Honor Chris and his Family's wishes they have asked that our memorial donations go to "Make A Wish" Foundation. What a wonderful way to remember a giving man.

Disney is a major part of Chris and Krishta's life together. "Making a Wish" causes me to remember Jiminy Crickett singing the below refrain from Pinocchio:

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do

(Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing)

Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."

Many seriously ill children's wishes will come true thanks to all of you who have been able to donate in Chris' memory.

I thank you all.

Thank you so much for putting a face on such a nice guy.

Heres a pic of the Titan meet last year in Temecula.

Its Me, Chris, PCRiley, Walker, and Dtek. Chris had posted it when we first had the meet and we were looking forward to more, like the one in Anza in a few weeks for the So Cal group.

Glad I got to meet him.
