I'm looking to lift my 05 Titan KC 4x4 within the next year or so, but I'm one of those people who likes to plan ahead. Basically, I've narrowed it down to the Pro Comp Stage 1 and the Rough Country 6". Just wondering which one I should actually go with. Cutting isn't a problem, so its really just which one is better built. I've looked at some forums but can't seem to find a solid answer. I also live in Ohio so this kit is going to see some winters, and I want it to hold up through all of that.

What part of Ohio you from? And as far as the kits go. I personally like pro comps lift. RCs lift is taller though and usually has a better price tag. It's really just preference.

I'm from Wayne County. Amish central haha. But I was just mainly curious on the pure durability factor more than the overall lift height. I know there's cutting involved in the RC lift but what exactly gets cut? That might be the overall decision maker.

I'm from Wayne county as well man! I grew up in Orrville! Then moved to even more Amish country in West Salem. Lol

I have the procomp stage 2 and its a great lift. Really easy to put in and has been holding up really well in NH. But its like what everyone says beauty is in the eye of the beer holder!!

Nice! I work just between Dalton and Orrville. I went to Waynedale back in the high school days, but I actually live on the outskirts of Fredericksburg, like 20 minutes away.

Whats the difference between the stage 2 and the stage 1? I haven't looked into the stage 2.

Whats the difference in price?
Oh, and I saw was reading about your exhaust system post! Still liking the Gibson MM system? I was looking into that as well.

The stage 2 is like $2,625. The exhaust is amazing man. If you're interested in it PM me and I can hook you up.

Don't know how soon I'm going to get a new exhaust system, I just like to plan ahead and know whats coming down the line. What are the gains you get with it?

I honestly couldn't tell you any numbers, but over stock and flowmaster and magnaflow, there is no comparison. The design and quality is second to none. All stainless steel so it won't rust in those schitty northeast ohio winters lol

Any mpg gain? Or is it purely power gains?

The RC kift gets you like 6.5" of lift for around $1199.00 . The pro comp gets you 5.5" of lift but you get a 5 year 60k mile warranty on the drive train. The pro comp will run about $1656.00 . In my opinion it is worth the extra money for the warranty. I just had mine installed on my truck and love it. Only thing I don't care for is I have 5100's set on the middle setting raising the front an additional 1.5". From what I have been told by my installer is pro comp doe's not make a 4" block for the rear. So with the 3" block that came with the kit my rear is squatting a bit. CST makes a 4" block but my installer says that will void the pro comp warranty. So for now I am leaving it alone. Do your homework! It took me a year or so to pull the trigger. Either way I am sure it will look bad a$$!

How good of flex can u get with the PC lift?

Well ideally it would give you better gains as there is larger piping and let's the truck breathe more, especially if you have a CAI and a BDGT, but realistically their are no MPG gains only because once you hear the exhaust growl when you hit the pedal, you just want to floor it. If you drove it the same way that you drive it stock, then you would probably get some gains.

Hmm, I didn't know about the PC warranty that came with it! That just might be more worthwhile in the long run.

I don't have any aftermarket shocks on mine, so does that mean mine would sit a little more level? I don't really like the look of it when the front sits higher than the back, but thats just a personal preference.
