Since I bought my titan I have notice when I hit a bump or speed bump with any kind of speed I hear clank noise up front. After reading a lot of other threads I assume I have coil bucket contact. The truck sits nice and was leveled all ready when I purchased it. I'm not the greatest on the suspension part of our trucks how could I tell what kind of kit is on the truck and try to figure out what my noise is? I assume its the coil but not 100%.

Some pics would probably help, but more than likely it is the coil bucket or like mine at the moment which is blown struts. If it is the coil bucket you should have some scaring where the UCA's are making contact with the coil bucket.

I can do pics. I am gonna take tire off today and do a wheel fitment check on my new rims. Also see if I have some contact from the UCA's.

I tried uploading a pic for you, but never can get the things to work. Cut your wheel and look for impact marks on the lip of the dome-shaped housing above your shock. That is your coil bucket. If you see bright colored scratches or impact marks, then you have coil bucket contact.

Yep I see it. It is making some contact. How much grinding is necessary to avoid it making contact.

That depends on a lot of things. To avoid grinding too much, you should grind a bit at a time. Grind a bit, spray paint it, drive awhile, and see if it is still hitting. I'm not sure how much grinding is too much, but I'd probably stop at 1/4". If you still have a problem, you might need aftermarket ucas.

Usually if you can grind down the lip to where it is flush with the bucket (1/4 inch), if you have to grind more than that then aftermarket UCA's are the next option or a smaller spacer.
