I was impressed with the diff between the ***** and MXP easy install and solid attaches with oem rubber grommets. DO IT! haha ( glad I still had my old oem box) cuban post 114

I just did too!!! Last one

Thanks Thor. Just ordered one. I hate AT&T DSL. I'm using my smart phone to tether my laptop to my it. 4G is faster than it. Pretty pathetic.

Finished my ram air today. Took me only two 4" 45° elbows. Both female/male ends. For some reason I didn't have as much room as Chris lol. Even between cutting the entrance hole. Oh well got it to fit.
Also found some kind of draft foam that I can paint and sand when it dries. Used it cover around the entrance next to my headlight.

Looks like my ram air has rabies. I'll post a pic later when it's sanded, tapered, and painted.

I did have the front end re-built after i was in an accident a couple years back. Could possibly be because of that? :teethmast

What i did as an added safety feature to go along with the Airaid Pre-Filter was to leave the bottom bolt & rubber grommet out completely. This way when your driving through heavy rain you don't ever have to worry about water collecting in your air box! Since its the lowest point in the air box any water that enters through the ram-air tube or the oem fender air inlet will run down into the deep corner & drain right out!

Water drain hole! ;) HAHA

All i did was use a couple pieces of foam with adhesive on the back to put under the box to support it without the bottom bolt.

Its still a super snug fit & doesn't make rattle or anything! :)

Got it done today. I think the size of the volant caused me to make some changes. I had to cut down the last 45. And I couldnt find a 4" intake coupler but I used a decent amount of clear silicone to seal everything. Obviously not as good if I need to remove it and put it back. I did get a good seal though going towards the radiator, really forcing the air forwards the 4" pipe. Thanks for all the info guys. Hopefully I did it well enough to feel and see some gains.

How come you didn't get the volant ram air attachment? Or are you running it too lol

Should the hole for the bottom scoop be sealed? I know it was proven to leave the side fender opening open would allow better airflow. I wonder if the filter on the volant will be as good as the MXP filter for the ram air. Being that it's designed to pull from the fender.

I did my ram air a while back. I also found an 8$ spray gun bottle to use as my windshield washer reservoir! I threaded an npt fitting to the spray gun bottle and ran a piece of rubber hose to the fluid pump. I just don't have the fluid guage hooked up. This setup is good for 2-4 windshield washes lol but its better than nothing. I also have a cap to put over the pipe going into the air box for the rainy days . Enjoy!
