Its a great combination. The upper a-arm will allow full extension of the factory strut and interferance between the upper arm and the coil bucket will be solved. It has been done on a lot of trucks and it works great. You will need to extend the sway-bar end links, but that hardware come with the a-arms, and I would recomend a limit strap to keep the shock from ever over extending (like stock) but you will maximize the potential of the factory shock with this set-up and the results are great. Plus, you will be set to maximize the lift with a coilover later and can go an inch or more taller with ease.

alvaro, that is on the list. It wouldnt have the performance of the coilover, but wold be very similar to just the levleing kit, the best part is that it could be "added" to the leveling kit for a minimal price. This kit would include new hardware for the leveing kit, a billet spacer that would bolt to the levleing kit, upper a-arms, and limit straps, and bumpstop spacer, should be around $650, that would get the truck to around 3.5" of lift and still ride at least as good as stock. Then upgrading to the coilovers when the factory struts eventually wear-out will be easy and offer the best ride available while still being able to sell your old leveling kit.

This is very interesting to us who have the PRG leveling kits... One more wish for my PRG upgrades...

Would this help in keeping the oem front suspension from bottoming out/cluncking to easy on speedbums/large holes?

THX again...

now adding the extention kit, or even the 2" kit, have any premature wearing-out of the strut(s)?

sweet....this is exactly what i was hoping for. Hopefully I will be able to slowly piece the performance kit with the coilovers. $650 sounds alot more doable to me than the $1800. i know that the 650 doesn't include the deavers and bilsteins, but it would give me a starting point.

No premature wearing out of the struts, they will see the same exact loads as stock, they wear-out plenty fast on thier own. We have done alot of testing and no extra wear on any components (ball joints, cv's, bushings, etc) with the 3.5" kits. Nissan gave us a great truck to modify.
K-mu, i have a limit strap upgrade for your application now, it does require you to drill a 9/16 hole in the front of the coilbucket though. This will be an option with the leveling kits very soon. most people never notice the the noise, but this upgrade is for those that do alot of off-roading or like to jump curbs. It will be around $50-60, the kit will have 2 limit straps, new (and stronger) lower shock bolts, and the mounting hardware for the upper strap mount. These can also be used later with the upper arm and/or coilover. I m selling these kits for cost just to make sure my customers can extract the most performance from thier trucks.

hey greg, what length strap would yu suggest for the pc stage 2 coilovers not to fully extend?
thanx
sam

How soon do you think these kits will be available. I think I just found my Christmas present.

DaFridge, an 18" strap should work on your set-up. You need a 9/16"x 4" bolt and a 1"dia. x 3/4" spacer with a 9/16 thru hole to mount to the front of the lower shock mount. Then drill a hole in the front coil bucket for the upper strap mount.

Greg: do this limit straps help avoid the large thump/shake of the dashboard when the suspension bottoms out when going over large speed bumps or holes?

THX in advance

The straps completely eliminate the noise associated with the a-arm hitting the coilbucket (or even the thud that the stock shocks make). THe weld on brackeyt will also completely eliminate that noise too. and for those that are interested, the DRE coilovers have a built-in stop that will be very quiet as well.

hi greg....is this 3-3.5 kit already available you were talking about in the above thread??? that would be good if it is..or if you plan on having it how soon would that be..?
thanxx o.

Greg: is 3.5" of lift only for 4x2 or would that height work on a 4x4 also?
