I have a cracked manifold on the right side , dealer said that they have seen 4-5 come back with this anyone else with this problem.
You'll usually hear a ticking sound that is usually louder when the motor is cold. Sometimes the ecu will throw out "lean" codes for the primary O2 sensor for the bank that's leaking.DeTitan said:Hi,
Can you share as many of the symptoms as possible. This way we can all be aware and listening.
Thanks

Why in the world would you take the engine to peak RPM in park? Seems abusive.oktex88 said:I think my manifold maybe cracked as well. When you give it gas while in park you can hear a rattle at the peak rpm. My engine runs rough and will vibrate the whole truck after you let go of the gas. Also I can hear my truck whistle, even while idleing if I put my ear up to the grill. Also, the service engine light will flash for about a second when you give it gas! Anyone know the exact symtoms of a cracked one? :smoke: :smoke: :smoke: ???????????????????????????????
Took it to the dealer and they said it's just the fuel injectors? I'm taking it to a muffler shop to get looked at, Free.
Peak RPM for how much you press the gas.. lets say you press it to 3000 rpm then let go well as soon as you let go u will hear the rattle. It only rattles when the rpms are droping. I would deff not floor it when I'm in park lol.Brons2 said:Why in the world would you take the engine to peak RPM in park? Seems abusive.
Anyways, when I rev it up there (when driving...) does seem to be some "cackle" but I just attributed it to the tuning of the exhaust and not any problem.

That's the sound of cooling metal. Most of that sound comes from the exhaust system - completely normal.P's Titan said:I have alot of that to. Is this the same thing anyone ??
