FFV flexible fuel vehicle.

I have owned a used 04 titan for 4.5 months added 15,000 miles I don't drive this truck like a truck. I hate this titan, I hate my current nissan dealer and would never buy another titan. The titan does have alot of features that I like, but not enough to overcome the fragile feeling I get when driving.

49 TSB's on the 04,05 and 06 models, how does that sound for quality?

MACH1 FOR YOUR INFO THE TITANS are built in Canton, Mississippi by the hands of Americans, just being paid by the Japanese that have the stuuf that works ; lets take into consideration that this is the very first "FUL-SIZED" truck that Nissan has built and all i can say is buy what you want and that obviously is not going to be an outstanding truck that has first run issues that are being taken care of and by a company standing by their FIRST full-sized p-up

buy what u what and let us enjoy our truck, good luck with your decision and happy trails!.

I was going down that road as well. Had a Dakota for 9 years and liked it but time for a new one and did not like the new styling. Looked at Frontier and Tacoma extended cabs. Did not want crew. Bottom line is that you can't get anyone in the back,. Its useless. The Dakota was barely big enough for one crammed in sideways. Once inside the Tacoma and Friontier I said no way. You will have to get the crew and that takes up precious bed space. Frontier and Tacoma still a small truck...not midsize...I don't care what they say. The only true mid size is Dakota and in reality the Trunda is a mid size

Gas miledge difference is so small it does not matter. Couple hundred bucks a year driving 10,000 miles.

Its all about the factory hood scoop on the tacoma. Just looks tough as hell.
I agree... it does look tough, but it doesnt have the balls to back it up.

The aftermarket hood for the Titan is tough... and it has the balls to back it up.

Check one out here.... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2127821 Its towards the bottom of the page. Now that is one fine arse Titan.

Just my biased opinion. :)

I'd buy it again....

Every truck out there has it own batch of "problems". I don't think the Titan has any more or less problems than the others. Overall, I think Nissan did a really good job with this truck. The F-150's and Tundra's are also good trucks. It's all in what you want/like. I bought the Titan over the F-150 because the Ford just lacked the muscle and there are F-150's EVERYWHERE. I like to be different, and back when I bought my Titan alot of people didn't even know there was such a thing as a Titan. Even now you don't see a whole lot of them.....and I like that. The current Tundra's are smaller than the Titan and are boring looking. Toyota makes a good truck though, and I hear the next generation Tundra is going to be bad-a$$. Way,way, too many Ram's out there and I don't like them that much anyway....very good motor but otherwise junk in my opinion. All-in-all, after 20,000 miles, I am not sorry with my choice in the Titan.

(P.S.- If the Titan did not exist I would have gone F-150)
I agree 100% with PENROSE....my Titan now has > 51K on it and has been very good to me. I have the permanent brake fix but didn't really have much judder in the first place (basically got it b/c I could). I have had no rearend problems but have never towed anything either. Just test drive all 5 1/2 ton trucks and pick the one YOU like best. Good luck and welcome to TT.

The titan isnt any more american than a tacoma. Im interested in what would lead you to make such a comment, besides ignorance
The taco has a lot going for it though. composite bed, bed storage cubbies, under seat stoarge in the back of the cab, standard tie downs, a lot of those are optinal on the titan

You are right. I didn't realize the Taco was built in Freemont. Plead lack of concern there.

Composite Bed spelled expensive as Heck if you accidentaly hurt it.

Bed Storage Cubbies Try looking at the built in storage box that is on the utility bed equipped Titans.

Standard Tie Downs This would mean more if they weren't the second to do it. Oh yes, and the composite bed renders these useless. What is the stress load on the bed?

Yes the utility bed is an Optional Package, and yes the Titan has had 59 TSB's, but there is no way to compare the Taco to this truck. Nissan has a running record of actually working with the owners trying to address these issues. Would it be better if they didn't have to? Heck yeah. It would also be great if I could get that $ 100 tree to sprout fresh bills in the spring. If you want a fair copmparison look at the Fronty. You want a hood scoop, get it. This truck rocks. You asked for opinions, and I gave it without flaming. I guess you wanted to prove the rule about anal orifices and opinions. Enjoy the Toyo/:cheers:
