Hi All,
Finally got my truck back on the road. For those that followed in the past, I kept getting a bad code on the #3 cyl. Turned out to be a burned exhaust valve :frown:
Any way all good ion that end now, but I have a bad cat on "Bank 1"
So coded up again.
I cannot see putting another manifold w/ built in cat onto engine, also I previously lost part of the tail pipe with the resonator.
Now the question;
What would you guys & gals recommend, there are so many choices out there, so it is confusing.
I like a throaty sound, but not too loud & crazy. I do have to drive in the city with it. As far as hauling goes I carry & pull 2-5 m/c's so no really heavy tows.
Please, let the opinions fly...
Thanks

First I would say go on youtube or find a exhaust thread on here. 100s of exhaust videos floating around here and youtube. Find the sound you are looking for and anything with a 2.5in pipe from the manifolds/ headers will help in all areas of performance. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal then JBA mid length headers. Good performance and a good price for what your getting. Also plenty of options to tone down the sound without sacrificing performance. Let me know if you need any help or direction!!

If it were me I would go jba lt's, cajun catted b pipes, cajun cat back with a borla xr1 40944 and vibrant uq. As mentioned contact Jeff at cajun he can hook you up with anything I mentioned and help you with any questions. Like wicked mentioned there are a ton of videos out there and everyone likes different things. If I wasn't on my phone I would link the threads, but it is called proven exhaust thread and the official borla thread. If you search for them you will find them

OK,so this is what I have come up with;
Stillen long tube headers
Cajun B-pipes w/ cats
Gibson Metal Mulisha cat back
OPINIONS?

A question going fwd; With this install, is it just install and go, or do I have to recalculate the computer or anything else? The stillen headers come with something for the o2 sensors to fool the CEL. Also, does anyone know if this system will have any issues with passing emissions in NY???
Thanks again for all your help...

So,
Here is the final order;
JBA LT headers, Cajun catted B pipes, Cajun catback w/ Borla 40944, uprev tune!
Will waite to install all this before I go with a vibrant UQ so can hear if too loud.
I already have a injen CAI and throttle body spacer.
Wish me luck...

Think about getting the UQ res with the rest of the parts and some OEM gaskets.

Thanx Rick,
Why do you say on the UQ?
I will definitely be using the factory gaskets, as Jeff was pretty strong on that...

Hes saying Ultra quiet because with that set up you might get some drone or CIS which the Ultra Quiet is known to help with. I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that setup is gonna be pretty d@mn loud.

I'm going with the same exact set up! Also going to see how loud/bearable it is sans the UQ...most likely will add later. I'm already Uprev tuned exhaust is coming soon!

That is one awesome set up. You are going to love it. From your first post I think it may be a tad on the loud side without the UQ for you, but you may love it. How loud an exhaust is depends a lot on that person. Different people will have a different opinion. Can't wait to hear your review.

I hope you like a great sounding exhaust. :)

I'm sure I will be happy with this system. I have to be since everyone is so stoked when I made the decision to go with Jeff and his Cajun system. It was surprising to me that there were no sound clips of this particular setup. That is why I am going without the uq for now. Personally I dont mind loud. Its the wife I have to cintend with.
It is funny how the post wakes up when cajun/ Jeff is included. I like the fact that he is held in such high regard. It made my decision much easier. Especially after I had the opportunity to speak with him. Great southern hospitality. Lol

You will really like the sound, it is a great setup and the Cajun guys know there stuff. I could only last 2 days with the drone I had before cutting in the UQ res - I did not have to wait to order it as I got it with the rest of my setup, Jeff 'suggested' it. He was spot on!

As you found out Jeff is a great guy. Heck he has taken time during work and answered my questions when I was starting my set up. I am actually about to order a set of b pipes myself. Here is a video of my current set up when I first put headers on. Details are in my sig and the video description. Yours will be a little louder because of the larger b pipes and high flow cats but it will give you an idea.

Just listened to your youtube, does not sound loud at all, although I believe that the B pipes will open her up some. Do you have the UQ installed on yours?

My stock b pipes are really taming it down. I have no resonator in my tail pipe. Just a reso exhaust tip which doesn't do anything for volume. Just cleans the sound up a bit. I just ordered Cajun reso b pipes so it should really liven her up. I was also being easy on it in the video because I was still running my tune from stock manifolds when I recorded it. I was too excited to wait. Lol. YouTube videos kind of suck when it comes to the true sound of an exhaust. You'll see exactly what I mean when you start yours for the first time. I had a smile from ear to ear on the first start up after my header install. I wouldn't say mine is crazy loud but anyone that has heard it says it's pretty loud. Sometimes on start up it will make the pictures in my house make a slight rattle. Haha.

When you can switch to the airaid mxp intake from TAP auto. You wont regret it.

I had a CBR 600 before...always wanted a ducati but they cost so much. Dream bike is the MV Agusta. From the front to the exhaust they look awsome but they're like 18k
