Tried the search feature, got nothing. I have a 2012 titsn pro-4x with foes gate factory system, no DVD no nav. I am curious if there is a connector that I can plug into back of head unit that I can also plug my iphone 5 into that will give me iPod capabilities, where I could see song name, etc... And use steering wheel controls?

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this has been covered and I just didn't use right keywords in search.

Sorry, you are one model year off. For the 2013 Titan models they added a USB interface which would allow what you want. Also, all the connectors and wiring changed such that one cannot retrofit a 2013 OEM HU into a 2012.

Your best bet to obtain iphone connectivity is an aftermarket HU.

PAC makes an IPhone adaptor that plugs into the NBus and will do what ya want

Don't you have a 3.5mm jack under the radio ? That's what my daughter uses.

With the 3.5 jack you won't get descent sound, control, or display

Oh, if you want better sound then I would scrap the R/F system completely and upgrade everything.

Why the RF head is sounds better than most aftermarket head units. But he wants the tracks and info to display on the radio

The aux input no my OEM Rockford Fosgate works fine. I have a Sirius satellite receiver hooked up to it and it's fine. I have heard the aux input on some of the earlier years did not work that well.

And, I am using my stock radio with an aftermarket amp, speakers and subs and it does sound great. MBQuart1 hooked me up with that.... Tech12volt for the amp, speakers and subs and box, all of which is mentioned below in my sig....

When you use the 3.5 aux jack you are using the DAC in the IPod or Iphone which sucks compired to comming out digitally. However Im not sure the Pac uses the analog or digital output, However the Pac (or simular produce) is the only way I know of you will get control and display on the OEM headunit..
FYI Ipod Sound Quality is horrible, I can track the same sone on IPod and CD and switch back and forth and it is amazing how much better CDs sound.. That being said, If I dont play a CD first I dont notice how bad the ipod sounds... lol

The PAC adaptor is somewhat unuser friendly as that it isnt ease to operate..

Update, just I case anyone else was looking for this type of upgrade, crutchfield has the part that does exactly what I am looking for. USA Spec iPod Interface, it's $150 bucks, plus $30 for the lightning plug converter and it ties into the factory satellite module and then you can plug in the phone and charge it while listening through the radio without using the aux input, this module also displays name on the radio display and you can switch between songs and such with radio controls and steering wheel controls.

Part will be here Monday and then I will get it installed and hopefully it does everything crutchfield says it will do.

Well the install was a PITA, but I got it all installed and working as planned. I was bleeding (busted knuckles trying to get plug out) when I was done so I know I did it right! 2 hours exactly it took. Hardest part was getting the oem SAT connector out of the factory installed location, to plug in the new connector. After that it was just zip tying everything and getting it hidden appropriately, the removing the plastic trim around the center console/shifter area to hide the cable leaving only a pointy tail of the plug out. All in all, well worth the money and time to get it in and working! Definitely recommend for not only the convenience of using radio controls, but safety for not having to look at your phone while driving to play music.
